 Chapter V
LESSON 1 (Observation)
D. ---
1. I use diagnostic assessment in teaching to find out the strengths and weaknesses of
each student, to find out their abilities and to find out what knowledge they have. It is
primarily used to assess student difficulties and to guide lesson and curriculum planning.
2. Taking an immediate approach when gathering student feedback is one great way to
make sure that your class isn’t latching on to the wrong idea about a lesson.
3. Determine whether students are making adequate academic progress or meeting
expected learning standards, and the results can be used to inform changes in teaching
strategies, lesson designs, or teaching materials in the next course.
Processing:
1. It is possible that if the teacher uses the same strategy in the assessment, the
learning target will not be achieved.
2. For me, it is summative. Because it is usually used in class to give tests, quizzes,
and essays.
3. For me, the most important strategy is formative Assessment because it is the
most powerful type of assessment for improving student understanding and
performance.
4. Assessment helps both of them, the teachers and students. Because teacher
allows them to see if their teaching strategies are effective and also the students
will encounter what they need to know.
Lesson 3
Observation
A. Giving constructive feedback to students is important because it helps to
strengthen their confidence and convey to them that you value their learning
difficulties and to have them engage in learning that students will feel even small
things. that praise they will be able to appreciate especially if the praise comes
from the teacher.
B. –
Other comments:
Based on my observation, the teacher often gives compliments or praise to students
once they have answered well in class or have made good efforts in the activity. They
say that it is as if students do not lose confidence when it comes to studying.
Processing:
1. For me it was during the class. For while in class, other students can be engaged to
cooperate in the class because of compliments or constructive feedback from the
teacher.
1.
2. This helps students improve their performance and feedback informs teachers about
how they are performing relative to expectations and worthy educational outcomes.
3. By giving feedback based on my cooperating teacher, for example are: “Very Well
said!”, “Excellent!” and “Very good”
Reflection:
I realized that as a teacher you should always give the positive feedback to your
students because they can feel appreciate their performance and it helps to boost their
confidence.

I believed that giving the constructive feedback can improve the students’ ability and
can improve a student's confidence, self-awareness and enthusiasm for learning.
I feel that it is most productive to a student's learning when they are provided with an
explanation as to what is accurate and inaccurate about their work.
I will always convey to my students that they can improve their performance by giving
the positive feedback. Even they make a mistake I will write in the short notes that they
can do better next time. And also allows for personal improvement because it can
highlight areas that an employee needs to improve upon.
Lesson 4
Processing:
1. Parent and teacher shares each other minute observation of a child i.e., how
does a child behave with friends, his confidence level in the class, his self-esteem,
self-awareness, decision making skill, interest in learning, special interest,
hobbies, and classroom performance.
2. Plan ahead. Determine what you need to know.
 Make a list of questions. Review them and prioritize them.
 Identify goals. Find out what the teacher expects from your child and why.
 Listen to the teacher. Focus on responses and be ready to follow up.
 Seek at-home strategies. Request tips on how to improve learning at home.
 Plan regular updates. Set a schedule for regular feedback on your child’s
progress.
 Get answers. Review your original list of questions before you leave.
3. Be sure your child knows that. Acknowledge other areas that your child is
excelling in and praise them for that. Reassure them that no one is perfect and
their bad grades don’t make them a failure.
4. To convey to them that there is no offense to the child, it is necessary to speak in
kind words and reassure them that no one is perfect and their bad grades do not
make them a failure. What can I suggest to the parent that if the grades are both
failing, they need to monitor the child, if possible, avoid other things first and
focus on studying.

I REALIZED
I realized that PTC helps teachers because it gives awareness to students and parents,
and increase communication between students and home. 2.
I believed
Parent-teacher conferences are a great opportunity for families to sit down one-on-one
with your child's teacher and talk about school progress.
I feel that
Teacher parent conferences should not be used as a venue to acknowledge the flaws
and inabilities of students, but as a stepping stone to foster improvement within each
child.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will use the proper way to communicate with the students to prevent the lack of
interest in the studying and also providing parents with information on how to support
their children academically at home.
LESSON 5
a. 1. Embrace formative assessment. If you really want to make the most of your student
data, then assessment needs to be viewed as an ongoing process.
2. Make sure that your lesson and assessment goals are aligned. Sometimes, it is
tempting to give assessments as a simple spot check to see who was paying attention in
class on a given day.
3. Be transparent about assessment goals and scales. They should know exactly how
they are being (or will be) assessed throughout the course of a lesson. In fact, they
should be able to tell you how successful they will be before you even administer an
assessment.
4. Use your data to make a plan. It can be helpful to view this process of assessment
and review as an opportunity for 100 percent student success.
5. Talk to students about their data. Be forthright and take the opportunity to sit
students down, study their recent data with them, and get their opinions on how recent
assessments have gone.
B.
1. Plan individual instructional intervention. The goal of delivering instructional intervention is
the same: help students improve skills they struggle with.
2. Develop daily instructional strategies. Knowing where each student is performing helps
teachers see the big picture when developing their daily instructional strategies.
3. Determine targeted goals for students and teachers. District and campus leaders can
analyze assessment data and use the information to set goals for teachers that are specific,
measurable, relevant, and attainable.
4. Monitor student and teacher progress. Progress monitoring provides leaders with valuable
information regarding improvements in critical reading and math skills as well as classroom
performance.
5. Discover professional development gaps. While many people believe that assessment data
can only be utilized to help students improve, at station we are seeing another trend.
Processing:
1. For me is, “Make sure that your lesson and assessment goals are aligned”. Because
based on what I’ve observed they’re not let the lesson are not aligned in the assessment
goals.
2. Based on the five ways of using assessment data that have given from principal, I think
“Develop daily instructional strategies” because when the teacher are use the various
teaching strategies the students can engage to the lesson and it can achieve the learning
outcomes.
3. There are a wide variety of learning styles that students have, and a wide variety of
learning methods that teachers can utilize in the classroom to help their learners. As
teachers are transitioning to online learning, it may be a good time to evaluate their
lesson plans and tactics and decide if they are the best approach for students.
I realized that
Data needs to be collected, analyzed, and then used through instructional and student
interventions. Learning how to use assessment data effectively will affect student learning in
the best way possible.
I believed that
Teachers use assessment data as one of the most powerful tools in their classrooms. An
important piece of teacher instruction comes from how they utilize this data.
I feel that
Assessment reports with actionable feedback. This allows your teachers to not only
analyze assessment data for an individual student but also share the data with
administrators for additional progress monitoring. Teachers can also utilize these
reports to observe assessment data patterns and adjust instruction.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will can continue to foster socialization and collaboration even in their online classroom. And
also, I will create group projects and have online students meet on Google Hangouts or Zoom to
connect and work together.

Chapter VI
Lesson 1
Processing:
1. Can affect that student who study in a positive learning environment have
been shown to be more motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall
learning ability.
2. It is important because it helps the learners to acquire new skills and
knowledge. It also develops their abilities and attitudes. Learners should be
motivated to learn and to take part in the learning process.
3. Strategy that can I use is approach to teaching based on the belief that
integrating academic and social-emotional skills creates an environment
where students can do their best learning.
4. To do this, it may be helpful to conduct an internal and external assessment
to understand what is happening inside and outside of your organization.
I REALIZED THAT
Based on what I have gathered, environments that support high quality inclusion
provide supports throughout the daily routine. Planned adaptations and modifications
make things go more smoothly for staff, family members, and for the children. This
also helps increase children’s engagement and learning. 3.
I believed that
The learning environment is diverse like the children and families. At children’s eye
level, you can see photos, books, toys, and dolls that are reflective of the children in
your care. People from your community are represented, including people of varying
ages and abilities.
I feel that
Learning environments are the nurturing spaces that support children’s development.
This includes your home, outdoor spaces, and other areas your child visits each day.
Responsive environments are tailored to meet each child’s developmental levels,
needs, and interests.
When I become a teacher, I will
First, I learn as much as you can about the community both by research and by
interacting with community members. Find out what is really important to them. Then
I can incorporate these things into teaching.
Lesson 2
Processing:
1. If it is possible to engage parents and community members in the
implementation of school programs the benefits available will give students the
opportunity to improve academic achievements and higher attendance rates,
and improved quality of school programs, as well as improved student behavior
and school discipline.

2. Teachers should focus on building relationships with parents to establish trust

and foster those relationships throughout the year. Schools should also ensure
that parents have opportunities to build rapport with their child’s support
network, which can include a whole team of people, including learning
specialists.

3. Based on my observation, if educators don’t already know the school’s parent

body, they should be sure to reach out and learn more about them. Teachers
should invite parents to share information about their child’s strengths and
weaknesses, what type of support system they have at home, and whether
anything going on in the child’s life may impact classroom behavior.
4.
I REALIZED THAT
Encourage teachers to share a bit of information about themselves at the start of the
year, perhaps at parent night, to set the tone for an open exchange with students’
parents and caregivers. They should develop and communicate a process for regular,
ongoing communication throughout the year so parents know what to expect.
I BELIEVED THAT
Providing information for the sake of keeping parents up-to-date is recommended, but
schools also need to make sure they are sharing information that parents can act on.
This can include opportunities for parents to support or prepare their child for
classroom assignments, or information about upcoming extracurricular activities and
special events.

I FEEL THAT
Often, communication will focus on the basics such as daily schedules, homework
assignments, upcoming events and in some cases behavioral updates. Parents may
dread the rare phone call home, so it’s important to find opportunities to
communicate good news, as well. When I become a teacher, I will
I will make it clear that all faculty members are expected to participate in the school’s
communications efforts. By providing clear guidance on this expectation, along with
the proper tools and protocols to make it actionable, leaders can make it a reality.
Lesson 3
Processing:
1. Code of ethics are important to all teachers because, it serves as guide for
teachers specifically to new teachers for them to exhibit proper behavior to the
learning community at all times. It is imperative that you observe and practice
this set of ethical and moral principles, standards, and values.

2. Teachers have great influence in the lives of their learners. They are expected
to be professionally competent in the practice of their profession. Moreover,
they need also to possess good reputation not only in the school but in the
entire community.

3. Being a teacher, you should consider your co-teachers and other personnel in
achieving the goals of education. They must be treated with courtesy,
consideration, and mutual respect. You should also be punctual in the
submission of office reports and other tasks to facilitate the completion of the
work by the support personnel.

4. Code of ethics influence teachers' competency that will give positive effects on
students' academic development and skills, and help teachers to improve their
teaching techniques

5. Being a teacher, you should consider your co-teachers and other personnel in
achieving the goals of education. They must be treated with courtesy,
consideration, and mutual respect. You should also be punctual in the
submission of office reports and other tasks to facilitate the completion of the
work by the support personnel.

I realized that

Having this big responsibility in the learning environment, teachers must

be guided by this document which comprehensively discuss the different
expectations from a teacher.
I believed that
Ethics impacts the behavior and permit an individual to make the right options.
To manage life and act responsibly is very hard without ethics. The significance
of ethics cannot be disregard in any level of life it’s important that they are
practiced in the area of Education.
I feel that
The second purpose of ethics education is important to develop critical thinking
skills, intentional on one’s purposes, particularly the ability to reflect and the
theoretical and practical effect of personal and collective human actions.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will protect the rights of the students, all the students, and also the main thing is
not to abuse the power that your position, over your students, might give you.
Think through the implications of what happens.
Lesson 4
Processing:
1. School policies and procedures are important because they help a school
establish rules and procedures and create quality standards for learning
and safety, as well as expectations and accountability.
2. Policies are most effective if those affected are consulted are supportive
and have the opportunity to consider and discuss the potential implications
of the policy. Depending on whether you are developing policies to govern
the internal working of the organization or external policy positions, you
may wish to consult, for example: Supporters; Staff and volunteers;
Management Committee members; and Service users or beneficiaries.
3. Enables us to identify and monitor trends, challenges and perceptions over
time with specific groups of stakeholders. It therefore helps us to: Identify
and track needs and expectations. Identify and track perceptions and
attitudes.
4. Addresses policy issues in teacher supply, demand, and quality. The focus
is on issues entailed in forming effective federal and state policies
designed to ensure a sufficient supply of teachers who are fully qualified in
their primary teaching assignment.
5. Allows people the opportunity to volunteer and get involved in the school
even if they are not parents of school children within the district. It also
provides students the opportunity to improve their reading abilities and get
to know people within the community.
I REALIZED THAT
The organization needs to constantly assess its activities, responsibilities and
the external environment in order to identify the need for policies and
procedures.
I believed that
The degree of rules that a school sets, in accordance with its councils’
recommendations, represents what the community requires of staff and
students. When members of the community transgress these boundaries and
are challenged, their response or compliance to these challenges are very
telling of the individual’s willingness to get on with their learning or teaching.

I feel that
School rules enforce safety. A sense of security is critical to the learning process.
However, it is much easier to enforce if you gain cooperative alliances with the
students in the regulation and enforcement of appropriate classroom norms.
I will do the things that can I help the schools and students. Also, the main purpose
for addressing such policy issues is to identify specific data and research needed to
provide a useful empirical base supportive of effective policy making in the future.
CHAPTER VII
Lesson 1
Processing:
1. Based on what I observed the teacher philosophy of my cooperating teacher that
they follow is Student or Leaner centered which is the teacher are depending on
lecture discussion and problem solving.
2. They adhere in the student or leaner centered because this philosophy helps
students to train their cognitive skills and also helping students develop their
critical-thinking and self-reflection skills. Giving students the space to act as their
advocates in the learning process.
3. The teacher’s philosophy impacts the leaners to gain an understanding of their
own learning style. They get more control over how they spend their time. These
are all skills they'll need in adulthood when no one is looking over their shoulder,
forcing them to learn.
I REALIZED THAT
I realized that all teachers are have different philosophy that they are using by teaching
and learning strategies which is all the types of philosophy are have their own objectives
and goals.
I believed that student or learner centered was effective in a third-year
pharmacotherapy course in promoting certain domains of students' motivation and
learning strategies. Specifically, the learner-centered approach seems to improve
students' attitudes and intrinsic motivation, as well as critical-thinking strategy.
I feel that
A teacher would be able to view and analyze from the perspective of their students.
Apart from understanding why students are behaving in a particular way, teachers
would also be able to know how students perceive their actions.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will adhere the student or learner centered philosophy, as this will further increase the
ability of the children and improve their problem-solving skills. And it can also apply
Progressivism and existentialism philosophy.
Lesson 2
Observation.
1. First is, personal qualities which the teacher are always approach the students to get
their attention, so that students are easy to engage in their lesson because of their
teacher with a good relationship.
2. By professional qualities, the teacher ensure that their lesson is master also every
detail to make sure that students are easily to understand and when students have
questioned the teacher are clear to deliver the clarification.
Processing:
1. For me is, Personal qualities. Because it is essential to have a good relationship with
your students to feel being comfortable. Therefore, the students are willing to listen in
your discussion.
2. Teachers can continue by assessing their own needs and seeking of this
process can help make professional learning personal.
I realized that
Both qualities are important for a teacher the personal qualities which are interpersonal
skills and the professional qualities which are use the appropriate instructional
methods.

I believed that
Great teachers are both passionate and purposeful. They are passionate about their
students and what they teach, and purposeful in their design of teaching.
9.
I feel that
Your positive attitude can inspire others to feel the same way. By having a sense of
optimism, you're more likely to work toward the solution rather than dwelling on the
problem. Positive people tend to have a "can-do" attitude, which helps work toward the
company's goals.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will adapt the two qualities to make sure that my future students will engage in our
lesson even personal qualities and professional qualities.
Lesson 3
1. Yes, it is important to linking with colleagues in teaching, because they can
improve their teaching strategies by sharing their ideas that can apply and also by
sharing techniques.
2. When teachers get the time to collaborate, students directly benefit. Increasing
their effectiveness and resource knowledge is a straightforward way teachers can
increase their students' chances for academic success.
3. If I will give an opportunity, I will collaborate with my colleagues by
communicating in a good way to have a good relationship and also, I need to
share my knowledge not only them.
I realized that
Effective teacher collaboration takes additional time and effort, but we found many
examples of its worth. It has been associated with increased student achievement.
I believed that
When teachers collaborate, the interests, backgrounds and strengths of each
teacher can contribute to a project. If teachers work in a team, they can delegate
tasks according to the personality and expertise of each team member. This type of
teamwork contributes to a greater sense of trust and accountability, and it allows
teachers to feel confident about contributing their most dynamic skills toward school
improvement.
I feel that
Active collaboration is particularly important for creating a growth-based learning
environment and for increasing student learning progress.

When I become teacher, I will

I do my best to collaborate with another teacher to helps me also to have an
knowledge about teaching by sharing the experience.
Lesson 4
Processing:
1. Reflecting on their own practices, teaching will help them to understand how
their students best learn and will allow you to be accountable for their progress.
2. Based on reflecting their own practices, it helps teachers locate their teaching in
the broader institutional, social and political context and to appreciate that many
factors influence student learning.
3. Developing a culture of reflective practice improves schools by creating a strong
foundation for continuously improving teaching and learning. It sends the
message that learning is important for both students and teachers, and that
everyone is committed to supporting it.
I realized that
Reflective practice develops your ability to understand how your students learn and the
best ways to teach them.
I believed that
Reflective practice is, in its simplest form, thinking about or reflecting on what you do. It
is closely linked to the concept of learning from experience, in that you think about
what you did, and what happened, and decide from that what you would do differently
next time.
I feel that
Reflective practice encourages teachers to understand their learners and their abilities
and needs. Reflection helps teachers to put themselves in their students’ shoes, which is
something many skilled teachers do. Stephen Brookfield believes that: ‘Of all the
pedagogic tasks teachers face, getting inside students heads is one of the trickiest.
When I become a teacher, I will
I will reflect in my own experiences that it can be improved my teaching and learning
strategy. And also, practice reflection can more effectively encourage learners to reflect
on, analyze, evaluate and improve their own learning.
Lesson 5
Processing:

1. For me is yes, because the teacher encourages students to ask questions when they
don’t understand something or need further clarification. Many students fear appearing
“stupid” in front of their classmates and/or the teacher.
2. I think that teacher should address as learning goal is Domain 4: Curriculum and
Planning because that is all about on how you will capable the learning competencies in
their capabilities.

I realized that

The challenge for many teachers is learning to effectively cope with the differences in culture
and socioeconomic status that may exist with their students. Such differences may include
learning and social styles, as well as communication skills, and the gaps they can create
between teacher and student can be frustrating and even overwhelming.

I believed that

Helping students understand that taking notes and studying course material is the way to
achieve academic success. Teachers can also help students develop successful test-taking
strategies, an area where bright students of all cultural backgrounds can have difficulty to the
detriment of their grades and self-esteem.

I feel that

Improving your time management skills is another example of a professional development goal

you can work towards. It will help you get more done with your time so you’ll have more
accomplishments to show off at the end of the day.
When I become a teacher, I will

Improve my skills about teaching so that, my lesson goals should outline what my students will
ideally be able to accomplish once the lesson is completed.

b.essay
Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a teacher. So, I usually read all the code of ethics articles
on how to be a teacher They always have a lot of differences but there are a few things in
common. Those things are the qualities a good teacher should possess: Knowledge, teaching
skills, student management strategy. The most important thing in being a teacher is knowledge.
This is important in what the lesson will teach you. Additionally, you need to have a solid
foundation of knowledge to answer questions asked by students outside of classrooms. Being a
good teacher must have a good skill in teaching approach. And that is being a creative and
productive teacher.
The teacher should always maintain civilization in the classroom and make sure one gets along.
This is the basic criterion of being a good teacher. It is very important for a teacher to
understand the psychology of his students. Each student is different and will react differently to
situations. The classroom is a stage, and to be effective the teacher must in some cases be an
actor.
Chapter 5 lesson 4
One of the best ways to connect and create an authentic bond is to go to the people who
matter most, and meet them on their own turf. A series of community walks are a great way to
start. Get your teachers, some local businesses on board and go and knock-on people's doors,
visit local businesses and senior homes and talk with them. Try the same approach with groups
of students. This time let the students communicate what they hope and wish for their school
and encourage them to ask for mentoring and support. Share your dreams for enhanced
community-school partnerships, ask people what matters to them, ask them how they might
help, and show them your passion. Deliver them an open invitation to reconnect, collaborate
and share their experience, skills and time to make a difference.
Other comments:
Use libraries to advocate for school-community partnerships and student learning. Libraries are
important hubs and can provide meaningful connection points outside the school gates.
Knowledge is the term I have given to the heightened
Knowledge awareness that teachers – some more than others – develop in
response to their recognition of their role as moral agents. As a
kind of virtue-in-action, ethical knowledge enables teachers to
make conceptual and practical links between core moral and
ethical values such as honesty, compassion, fairness, and
respect for others and their own daily choices and actions. It
moves teachers beyond viewing teaching solely in technical,
pedagogical, curricular, disciplinary, and evaluative
terms to appreciating the potentially moral and ethical impact
their practice has, both formally and informally, on students

despite various perspectives, the concepts of virtue and
