Introduction
At present there are more institutes which offer education. Several students are going to
different institutes. Handling those much of data manually has become difficult for the
institutes. Any information about classes or special announcements are given to the students
when they arrive to the class or via group messages. It is not an efficient way. Because most of
the time all the students don’t receive message properly. An Institute management system
project allows schools and universities to keep track of their enrollment, students, teachers,
attendance, fees, scheduling, and other activities related to tertiary education tasks. It creates
automatic reports for data-driven decision-making on all college management aspect.

This particular Institute Management System is focused on providing the above-mentioned

facilities in an efficient way. All the facilities for retrieving like student information, teacher’s
information, courses, fees, student inquiry and if any special event can receive invitations.
management will be added, deleted, updated and saved in the project i.e., when a new student
want admission all the information regarding the admission will be provided online. So, he will
get all the information related student inquiry, course, fees, teacher’s details etc.

As a developer, some of the technologies used in this Institute Management System

implementation are planned. As the development environment is concerned, developer choose
the language for C# with .NET framework as well and the Visual Studio for IDE Because this
IDE is lightweight and flexible for development process. SQL server suitable for this
framework of web-based application.

Background and Motivation
Existing System study reveals that all the booking was done manually on registers, require
a lot of time, manpower, and other resources, which was very tedious and error prone job.
Searching and report generation was also not possible in the existing system. Also, the work
of Institute was manually maintained. There was register or file system in the Institute.

The students are taking their classes details only after institute opening time, but they cannot
take an information after institute closing time. Some of students cannot receive the events
invitation. The students are able to communicate their professors in class time only.

A proper Web-based Institute Management System of distribute information would be one of

the ways of connecting with students. Students can take wanted information any time without
difficulty. And they don’t miss their invitation to events. System can help with things like data
storage and student profiles. It can also help with better communication and student
engagement. The proposed system is also less dependent on employees. It works without any
help of employees. The System is with photographs of all topics categorized under different
groups

The System provides means for fast and convenient and access to this system is limited only
to registered students and staffs. The system might have all the records and files of the old
system in a comprehensively linked manner so that whenever we want to retrieve some
information, it can be done in an efficient manner. The system should be a one-step shop
solution where all the different jobs regarding the various operations and functions in the
institute can be done on a single window with least hassle. That is, the new system can be able
to do work in the least amount of time and with much more efficiency and
effectiveness than the existing system. The developer was encouraged to do the project because
of the above reason.

Problem in Brief
Present mode of working is based on manual system or There was register or file system in
which the all the information is first received and then entered in the register. It
is very difficult job and time consuming also. The Institute does not have a perfect way of
share an information with students. Therefore, they face a problem to pass the information to
the students.

Moreover, the existing system is also dependent on employees, if the employees are absent; it
leads to problem and affects the business performance. Due to large volume of data, a
lot of complexities are involved in maintaining, updating and retrieving selected
information. So, they analysis institute problems. They identify some of problem their
information distributes.

1. Redundancy of data: - Due to improper maintenance of data, inconsistency is

there which leads to problem like duplication of data.

2. Difficulty in updating the data: - Problem of updating data in the existing

system since everything is stored in registers and files. It is very difficult and time consuming
to update data.

3. No integration or relation between the data: - Present system does not support any type
of data integrity.

4. Not proper retrieval of information: - Some of the students can’t get data information in
the existing system if any information is required for any specific purpose and anytime.

5. Some students don’t receive invitation: - If the management conducts any special events
some of the student can’t receive the invitations.

6. Not proper Inquiry method: - Students cannot communicate with professor instead of wait
until start the classes and meet directly.

Aim
The aim of this project is to develop a system for addressing Institute information retrieval and
sharing problem with the use of Web-based Institute Management System which will allow
students to get information in a convenient way.

Objectives
The system main goal is making a connectivity between institute and student using technology.
This institute management system with better accessible feature for students and institute by
creating user-friendly and efficient service. This institute managements system can solve
students and teachers request.

• This project contains various sections. One section is for managing record. It includes
course, admissions, timetables, etc.
• Other section is for managing student access and Inquiries.
• This system generates various reports. That makes monitoring process very easy.
• Paper work is reduced with the use of this application.
• Each user can access the system with its own user id and password

Proposed Solution (Reword this title to match your proposed area)

Explain what you are going to do, what type of architecture you will use, maybe use some high
level diagrams to model your system and explain, etc.

Resource Requirements
Software Requirements

1. Windows 10
2. Visual Studio
3. .NET Framework
4. SQL server
5. Web browser (Chrome)

Hardware Requirements

1. Intel core i5 processer

2. 8GB RAM
3. 512GB ROM

Deliverables
What will the final results be? A system, documentation, training, etc.

RIFNAS 8
Suggested Starting Point
1. Requirement gathering
• Get the information in clients for ask question and discuss about the problem.
• Collecting information about prevailing systems.

2. Estimating project cost

• Project scheduling
i. Arrange project task into smaller, manageable form.
ii. Set suitable SDLC method/model.
iii. Allocate time frame into work unite
• Cost estimating
i. Software size and quality
ii. Transport
iii. Hardware
iv. Tools and library
v. Maintains
vi. Training
