In my own insight, constructing meaning from data and experience is an essential skill for
mastering difficult topics. Learners must take an active role in the process by interacting with
the content, raising questions, and making connections between what they've learned and their
prior experiences and perspectives. Merely memorizing facts without forming links between
them is inefficient. Learners also need to have a development mindset, the conviction that they
can develop their skills through hard work and perseverance. As teachers, we should encourage
our students to take part in the learning process by, for example, asking questions, talking about
and summarizing knowledge, and doing hands-on activities. This helps people come up with
important ways to show what they know.
2. This statement gives the impression that successful students are able to develop meaningful and
coherent representations of information over the course of time with the help of their
instructors providing assistance and instructional direction. Because education is a strategic
enterprise, it is essential for students to have well-defined learning goals, to develop meaningful
representations of their information, and to acquire abilities in critical thinking and learning.
Give help and instruction: Teachers should give their students help and instruction, such as
through feedback on their work, scaffolded teaching, and modeling. This helps students make
accurate and clear pictures of what they know over time.
3. The phrase "the successful learner is able to meaningfully connect new information with existing
knowledge" implies that students construct new meanings by connecting new knowledge to
existing knowledge and concepts. According to research, students connect knowledge most
effectively in socially active classrooms where they mediate comprehension through interaction
and diverse activities. Students' knowledge increases in breadth and depth as they continue to
connect new information and experiences to their existing knowledge base. These links may add
to, modify, or reorganize existing knowledge, among other possible functions. Put an emphasis
on using what you already know. Teachers should urge their students to connect what they are
learning with what they already know and have done. This helps make representations of
information that are meaningful, consistent, and easy to find and use in different situations.
4. The statement, "Strategic thinking. Successful students think strategically about how to
approach learning, reasoning, problem solving, and idea development, as seen by their ability to
"create and use a repertoire of thinking and reasoning strategies to achieve complex learning
goals." They know and can use a wide range of techniques and methods designed to help them
master challenging subject matter. Creativity and critical thinking benefit from the use of higher-
order processes for selecting and monitoring mental operations. Give students a lot of chances
to practice. Teachers should give students a lot of chances to practice new skills and ideas in
order to help them remember them. During these practice tasks, students should get feedback
and help so they can make representations of their knowledge that are accurate and make
sense.
5. Good readers use metacognition before reading when they clarify their purpose for reading and
preview the text. As a teacher, helping the student learns about what things help him or her to
remember facts, names, and events is important. Time comes students learns about his or her own style
of learning which I can conclude that in order to have effective learning to students, I as a teacher assist
them to learn about which strategies are most effective for solving problems. Helping our students can
develop a growth mindset. By developing their growth mindset by getting them to think that with hard
work and persistence, they can get better at any subject. Teacher and learners need to have this
mindset to have meaningful and consistent representations of their information over time.
6. Some students are dependent on the environment on what they are learning. As teachers we need to
know several factors that can affect their learning ability, including seating, light, noise, and even colour.
As future teacher, giving students a positive learning environment for studying have been shown to be
more motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall learning ability. On the other hand, we evade
students learning in poor environments – those that are uncomfortable, loud, or full of distractions – will
find it far more difficult to absorb information and stay engaged.
7. Students are more motivated to engage in learning when they feel competent to do what is expected
of them and perceive stable links between actions and achievement. As future teacher we have to
excert effort to give them reason to be motivated day by day so they value their subject and have a clear
sense of purpose. In that strategy they experience positive emotions towards learning activities and,
contrariwise, turn away from learning when they experience negative emotions; and when they
perceive the environment as favorable for learning
8. Intrinsic motivation occurs when students are engaged because of internal rewards, like a love of
learning or interest in a subject. I on the other hand have so much to learn about this principle. Imposing
a positive competent learning environment can be challenging because you don’t if it can be too much
or less which can affect the learners. If it is done right, students learn to value learning for its own
merits, regardless of any external factors. An example of intrinsic motivation is a student learning new
vocabulary words because they love to read. In conclusion, students may be motivated to learn to pass a
test, to gain a reward, or to avoid a punishment so we need to be careful what method we impose in
class.
9. It is important to give motivation for students to learn because without it, learning isn’t fun as it could
be. High effort levels, especially when working on different tasks and assignments, are indicative of
motivation. For example, in my junior high school learning math is fun but it vary on my motivation. If a
teacher can catch the spirit of the student to learn then student can diligently works on a difficult
algebra problem again and again, this would indicate a higher level of motivation towards math
activities.
10. As a student the influence of others play a vital role in developing myself and learning. It’s all the
same when I teach students. I oversee their development in three aspects including cognitive, physical,
and social. In this way, the teachings I will teach them that correspond to their development will be
effective for them and will ensure that they will attain knowledge efficiently.
11. Social interaction stays at the core of learning. The more you interact with people, the more you
learn. There are different opinions from which you learn; you can receive and give feedback, which helps
you develop and get to know yourself better. Social interaction is essential for education.
12. Each one of us has different ways of learning the lessons. We create some strategies for us to
comprehend it in an easier way. In this factor, I will apply what I have learned by creating new plan of
action for my student to be able for them to learn individually even if they are different from one
another. This will help them to enhance their skills and knowledge in learning it. It is important for
teachers to know variables such as physical characteristics, intelligence, perception, gender, ability,
learning styles, which are individual differences of the learners. An effective and productive learning-
teaching process can be planned by considering these individual differences of the students.
13. Every student is unique. In order to properly understand and promote cultural awareness, teachers
need to understand all the different types of diversity they may encounter in their classrooms including
Race, Religion, Socioeconomic Status, Sexual Orientation, and etc. It is important to understand that
students are diversed in their own way and for their learnings. It may impact their participation in the
classroom because they may react differently to lessons based on their strategies and capability or may
be prior experience. As a teacher, creating an action plan to my students so that they will be able to
learn individually even if they are different from one another.
14. As a teacher it is best to let the students know against which criteria how I will judge their work, and
the standards attached to each of these criteria. Sometimes teachers give challenging works for the
students which is applicable for the learners for them to set or break the standards and to become
efficient in their learning process. It tells students what performance is required and allows them to gain
a sense of how students are doing overall, based on their achievement of the standards. Sometimes
