Matthew 7:24-27
Upon hearing the Word of God, we are supposed to understand it deeply and act on it after.
Listening to God must involve God's Word and the Holy Spirit working together in the mind and
heart of ours.
2. What are the two things compared in the reading?
The two things that are compared in the reading are those who act and not act on the Words of
God. Their consequences were stated.
Upon hearing the Word of God, we must act on it in order to exercise our faith.

Now, since we are already done exploring and understanding the Word of God,
let us now deepen our encounter with Him through our topic.
IV. DEEPENING
After reflecting on the word of God, watch # 1 entitled “Canonicity” for the deepening and
lecture on tons of topics. This video will give you the ana of how and why the Bible has its
official books and will give you the meaning of Canonicity.
Video # 1: Before watching the video, try to be mindful and capture the important ideas about
the topic.
A. Points to Ponder
1. What factors did you consider in choosing the one you care about most? Elaborate your
answer. The factors that I considered in choosing the one I care about most are my
feelings, their roles and importance in my life.
2. What difficulties did you encounter in choosing the one you care about most? The
difficulties that I encountered in choosing the one I care about most are their value and
importance to me because it is really hard to choose something over something that has
the same value to you.
The same thing happened with the canon of the Bible. The Church had
to decide which books were to be included in the official list based on
the doctrine of inspiration and not for any other reasons or
considerations.
Let us see first see if you were able to follow or understand the topic. Answer the
Activity 1 on pages 15-16 of your book.
V. FAITH RESPONSE
2.Inerrancy of the Bible means the bible does not have any errors. It
is perfect. The bible itself, the speakers in the bible, the authors of
the bible, present these writings as uniquely authoritative and true.
1. God-inspired
2. Contains the rule of faith and morals
3. It is determined by God, not people
VI. VALUING
How can we influence today’s young people to develop a love for the Word of
God? What value is being shown by your actions to influence them?
We can influence today’s young people to develop a love for the Word of God by
inviting them to be a part of catechism. We can also influence them online by
posting quotes and Word of God since most today’s young people are on their
phones, scrolling through social medias. The values that are being shown by my
actions to influence them are support, personal growth and improvement.
CLOSURE
To end this module, proceed to page # 31 of your book for your self-
assessment. Evaluate how you treat your Bible compared to other electronic
gadgets that you have. Check the box that corresponds to your answer. Write your
answers on a piece of bond paper.
VII. FRANCISCANISM
Closing Prayer:
Compassionate One, we are relational beings who thrive in the care and
kindness of our kin. May our families be places where we can find comfort,
counsel, and understanding, where we can increase in wisdom, stature, and
favor before You. May our schools be communities where the language of care
is spoken, where life is recognized as an unearned gift, and where conviction is
taught with clarity and passion so that everyone entrusted with life will cherish
and protect it. We ask this in the name of your Son and our Brother, Jesus
Christ. +Ame
