of Commerce with example?
Answer: An e-commerce (electronic commerce) platform is the management system
supported by commerce engine websites use to manage catalogued products, register
purchases and manage a users’ relationship with an online retailer. In simple terms, it is
online commerce or any transaction done over the internetE-commerce can be
Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Consumer (B2C); it can be in a small
business category or a large business category. Also it involves not only tangible goods
(clothing or physical goods) but also the remote services (cyber security to hotel

Example of e-Commerce Platform in Business to Business Type Category

This type of e-commerce refers to companies that provide goods or services for other
businesses. B2B covers a range of businesses including wholesalers, raw material
manufacturers and service providers as long as they relate to business promotion. For
example, manufacturing materials, clothing, car parts and semi-conductors are B2B

iPhone. Apple also holds B2B relationship with firms like Intel, Panasonic and semi-
conductor producer Micron Technology. B2B transactions are also the backbone of
automobile industry**.

Q. No2: What is the objective and significance of the digital system used in your
office?
Answer: In my office at Pakistan embassy in Manila, we use Machine Readable
Passport (MRP) system for renewal of Pakistani nationals’ Passports and Machine
Readable Visa (MRV) for Filipino nationals applying to visit Pakistan. The systems use
specialized software and servers which have been devised by Pakistan’s Interior
Ministry and are operated by Pakistani embassies across the globe through Password
and Username IDs issued to specific operators in each Mission.
These digital systems have been in use for almost 5 years now and have revolutionized
the whole process of Passports and Visas in many ways. Salient benefits of these
systems are as follows:
i. There is no need for Passport or Visa applicant to come in Person, they can
apply for visas or passports from the comfort of their homes at any hour round
the clock.
ii. There is no filling of lengthy forms, fotographs and signatures. It is all
paperless, online process
iii. They can pay the fees by using digital wallets, credit/debit cards etc by paying
exact amounts
iv. They can get e-visa even at the last minute while checking in at the airport if
there has been any delay due to some reasons.
v. It is round the clock operation with minimal manpower use and less resources
needed
vi. It keeps digital track of previous data/passports/travels and other details
online
vii. Visas are issued within a fixed period and certainty
viii. Any deficiencies are communicated through chat-type communications round
the clock
ix. Visas are e-type (paper print like e-ticket) hence passports don’t get
frequently filled/exhausted
x. Nobody needs to come to embassies even for once, nobody needs to even
contact on phone as online process is all-inclusive, complete and satisfactory.
