TO REMIND: In Observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan IFTAR Sunday, 7 August 2011 2000H-2300H 3206 Que Street, N. W. Washington, D. C. 20007 (Georgetown) Tel. 202-965-0563 DRESS: INFORMAL (Jacket/ No Tie; Jacket may be taken off, upon the breaking of the Fast, ie the eating of the Olive.) There is limited parking available in the Bank corner parking lot. Otherwise, on the side streets, in easy walking distance. 2. RUN-DOWN: 1950 2000 Door opens ARRIVAL OF GUESTS Guests enter into Outer/ Inner Drawing Room, Library. Unattended. No Meet and Greet. Straight Mix and Mingle.

Principal Parties, United States and Iraq, joined by Iraqi Military Staff, Members of the Defense Attaches Corps, Congressional Staff, join guests in the Drawing Room for the Breaking of the Fast. Guests are respectfully requested to observe the solemnity of the occasion. PRAYER (TBC)

BREAKING OF THE FAST. SBG Muth will pass the Olive to each
of the Guests assembled. The partaking of said olive marking the actual breaking of the Fast. The first olive shall issue to senior ranking U.S., the second olive shall issue to senior ranking/ DefATT. (Islamic Faith) From there the olive issue without consideration of precedence. Upon concluding the act of breaking the fast, SBG Muth will deliver brief welcoming remarks, including a Greeting from the Prime Minister of Iraq and make formal presentation of the Report of the Joint U.S.-Iraqi

Observances to mark IRAQI-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIP DAY, 9 April 2011, which many IFTAR guests attended. A copy of the report
conveys in the attachment to the Guest Circular. SBG Muths welcoming remarks shall be followed by a greeting from the HON V H Drath, Pres.-des, DC Chapter, Blue Star Mothers of America, to be followed by the National President, Blue Star Mothers of America. BSMA is the Congressionallychartered Sisterhood of Mothers/ Grandmothers of Americas serving and retired military service personnel. Theyre in town for their Annual National Convention. Followed up by concluding remarks by the HON Lawrence G. Romo, Director, United States Selective Service System. (All remarks within 10 minutes, TOTAL.) Guests descend to lower-level dining hall for FOOD SERVICE. BEVERAGE SERVICE is set in upper level Reception Rooms. DEPARTURE OF GUESTS. Guests are kindly asked to sign the Guest Book on the Grand Piano.
