INTRODUCTORY MESSAGE OF HOST: So to all who are present here tonight I am strictly
requesting to please wear your face mask during the whole programme.If you didn’t bring with you
your own face mask the residence have prepared a facemask for everyone.Social Distancing also will
take place. As we all know, We are still facing the health crisis which is the Covid-19 Pandemic and
we want to obey the rules prescribed by the IATF. In a moment from now we will start this
momentous night. Thank you so much.
INTRO: Turning 18 officially marks the end of a childhood. Now you’re an adult, you can make your
own decisions, you can be someone outrageous, and eventually you can now drink down the pub!
Traditional gifts, such as keys, tankards or shot glasses, symbolize a new stage of life. 18 is the age
of dreamers, when you’re 18, you feel empowered, and you know your life is yet to be lived. Later,
you may have a different opinion!
HOST: Before I welcome you all on this grandeur and spellbinding evening, may I invite you to please

HOST: Good evening everyone! Welcome to a night of viridiphile ,welcome in this celebration of a
wonderful life for a girl who is now turning into a fine lady and welcoming another milestone of her life
as she enters in the passage of adulthood.

We would like to thank everyone for gracing this very momentous occasion because as they say, you
only get to be 18 once. In behalf of, I would like to acknowledge the key persons who took a great part in
making this joyous affair possible. Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to the deliver the
message of gratitude to our very significant persons who have done a lot to make everything around us

HOST: Wow, as you can tell she’s blooming and lovely, indeed! Saan nga ba siya nagmana? Kay
Mommy ba? Or kay Daddy? Or baka both? Evidently, before tonight, Gaill has had happy years in a
very happy home. The love of a family will always be God’s greatest blessing. Sabi nga nila, in life we
can have several friends, classmates, and social circles, but there is only one family who is always
willing and ready to welcome us no matter what. Ladies and gentlemen, to answer the question kung
saan nga ba nagmana si Cham, here’s a message of welcome and inspiration from our debutants
mom Mrs Annabelle Castro.

Welcome Remarks – MAMA: According to her, she mentioned about the decision making of her
daughter, from being a helpless child up to now as a fine lady whom she can now easily decides for
herself. Sabi pa ni Mama mo, though you are now in legal age, you still haven’t given the opportunity
to make a decision without consulting it first to her. Yung pag aaral mo din daw should be the utmost
priority, she wishes you to become the person you want to be in the future, of course she talks about
your success. For the final word, she will do everything to suffice all your needs and she can be both
your mother and father to you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Your mother added. Word of gratitude also to all
the people who take part of this occasion she knows that you have been through hard times going
here tonight but still you did it just to be part of her daughter’s 18 th birthday. Your kind of endeavour is
really applauding! Welcome and enjoy the night according to ninang Weng!

Host to ad-lib based on the parent’s message: That’s the welcome message of Gaille’s proud and
hardworking mother who is now in Singapore. So, this was yester night when I asked ate ninang to
give at least short welcome message and then she replied a crying emoticon and she said, “grabi
ding panangis ko” not because she’s melancholic, it’s because she’s bombarded with pure joy for her
daughter. She’s very positive by the way, that she will go home for Gaille’s special day but a dreadful
pestilence hinder her way to go back home. So, that’s Ate Ninang’s message.

HOST: At this juncture, we will quickly moving on to the traditional 18s, so from this invitation, we
have 3 18s, we have 18 gifts, 18 Candle and ofcourse the 18 roses, these sound interesting! So let’s
keep all these things up!

18th Treasures
HOST: So, our first traditional 18, would be the 18 gifts or the tresures. Just for the record by the way,
technically giving toys usually equate the traditional 18 treasures, which mean eighteen people will be
chosen to give a gift to the debutante, before giving it to the debutante the person will give a short
message to her. The gifts are intended to be treasured and cherished for the rest of her life, hence

18th CANDLES
HOST: At this moment in time, we will be locking off the 18 candles. The 18 candles symbolize the
young woman’s journey to a brighter future. So, here we come the 18 gorgeous women saying their
short speech one by one holding a lit candle. Just a reminder po, after you’ve given your wishes to
our debutant, kindly place the candle beside the cake for the debutante to blow it out later So, let’s
begin with: 18 Candles REFER TO THE INVITATION

HOST: Okay, so that’s all our 18 candles and gifts, at the later part, the 18 men will be requested to
come forward and bring your equally fresh and beautiful roses for the 18 th roses.. Now, are you guys,
still with me? ADLIB (Baka mga nagtutungka na. HAHAHA, you know what po, the night is still with
us. ) So since, I myself is hungry let us all stand as we pray before the meal to be lead by
___________________________________________.

HOST: Alright while everyone are busy at nagpapaka busog (I think so) let us witness the debutantes
dances with her 18th roses.

18th ROSES
HOST: Like a pretty flower that attracts bees and butterflies, Zhaira will be surrounded by 18 equally
handsome and gentlemen who will represent the debutant’s 18 roses. This symbolizes the woman’s
readiness to romance and these flowers usually reserve to the most important men in the debutante’s
life. So, starting off with: 18 Sunflowers REFER TO THE INVITATION

HOST: In modern tradition, the last dance is of course reserved to the forever most handsome and
most loving guy in debutante’s life. Let us all give an applause as our debutants dances with her
father.

HOST: Thank you to our 18 remarkable and handsome gentlemen.

HOST: Okay, I think that was the ending point for our traditional 18s. Let’s move down now to the
blowing of the cake’s candle and so we all rise and sing the Happy Birthday song.

HOST: Let me share another good-to-know trivia to everyone on how birthday cakes and candles
came about as a tradition during birthdays. Some believe that the tradition of birthday candles began
in Ancient Greece. Putting candles on a cake was a special way to pay tribute to the Greek moon
goddess, Artemis. They baked round cakes to symbolize the moon. Candles were added to represent
the reflected moonlight. Today’s tradition of making wishes before blowing out the birthday candles
may have started with that belief. Enough of all those did-you-know trivia because at this part of the
program, our lovely and stunning Gaill will blow the candles on her birthday cake. And to complete
that customary practice, let us all sing joyfully a song I am very sure everybody is familiar with, the
happy birthday song!

HOST: There you have it! Welcome to legal age my dearest. My wish to you is to value education and
become driven especially in your future career, give more time to your aspiration but don’t stress
yourself too much, you’ve been so blessed with your family, friend and love one? (do you have?),
treasure every moment with them! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HOST: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a
wonderful experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. Maraming

Bless the organizers of this party so they may have more strength and zest to continue bringing your
