History

The word convocation is derived from the Latin word convocare. Convocare means – to call or come
together. In Greek, connection has been used at the time of gathering in educational and cultural
functions.

In fact, convocation is a very ancient system of the Indian education system, which is the formula for
the resolution of the life of a very pious and educated person. The pledge of convocation paves the
way for progress in the same direction by determining a person’s field of work. The Christian sect
tried to include this system of India in its religious system. When the Christian community was
establishing its discussion, at that time it had little knowledge of India’s Guru tradition and Acharya
clans. Giving these Acharya family traditions, he started including them in his religious tradition.
Churches were also the only education centers for them at that time. He used to control education
and governance from them, this tradition of his is still intact today.

The word consecration was first used in the English Church in the 6th-7th century by the Arch Bishop
of Cantervari. In 733, when York became a separate state after being separated from Cantervari, the
conduit was used. Convocation was used in 1225 when the split between the cathedral and the
monastic church took place, and membership of the convocation was introduced for the first time in
1285, which lasted until 1921. The consecration has in fact been its own system of governing the
church, with representatives such as the dean, archdeacon and so on. In the 15th century, the
Kandakshan was divided into two chapters, with the upper house called the Bisap and the lower
house being left to the rest of the members. In 1921 the elected representatives were given the post
of Proctor. Conchuration was thus established as a constitutional term only as the legislature of the
church. In later days, its utility began to be used in the church and all the institutions associated with
it. Among the universities, it first appeared as the main governing body of the University of Oxford.
In the Scottish University, it was the name of the General Council of the University. It was through
The Convocation Senate also existed at the University of Cambridge; the Convocation was
established in 1835 for three faculties at Oxford. Thus, the University of London, the University of
Chicago, the University of Illinois, as well as the establishment of concentrations in Canada and India,
were adopted by many universities as a degree awarding function in much later days.

Convocation is purely a system of the Church, while Dikshant is included in the most ancient Indian
rites. Convocation means. The end of Diksha is its very ancient history. In fact, the mention of
Dikshant is widely found in Taittiriya Upanishad. This is a very important time in Indian Sanatan
Sanskars after Upnayan Sanskar and before Panigrahan Sanskar. After Yajnopaveet, in Sanatan
tradition, the child was sent to enter one or the other Gurukul. The Acharya clan in which he entered
was identified with the same Acharya clan.
