Please note:
This small toy can be dangerous if not used properly. Use a backstop/ archery
mat for this and don´t aim or shoot at living beings. Please inform yourself if this
type of toy is legal in your country as it is basically a pistol crossbow.

Introduction

PC 1911 is a very compact crossbow pistol with a magazine for 5 bolts and a open
sight system for aiming. The pistol is powered by theraband gold rubber. The
magazine is designed for standard 6,3“ - 6,5“ bolts.

Length: 250 mm
Height: 155 mm
Width: 86 mm

Arrow energy: between 7 and 8 J (depending on the weight of the bolt, dimensions of
the rubber and length of the string.)

Assembly

preparation:

Before assembling, it is important to deburr all parts or break off hard

edges (which can occur in the area of the first layer). special attention is
paid to the handle, the running surfaces of the string, bolt, trigger and
cocking rail. you can use a knife, a file or sandpaper for this. It is
important that all parts run smoothly.

After that check all holes if they have the right size. Please see the
following pictures.

11
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Before gluing the parts together, insert the two M3 nuts into the designated
pocket holes (magazine_part_left and pistol_body_middle_right/_top)

glue the divided parts together:

Before you glue the parts together, make sure they fit together perfectly.

12
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Glue the divided parts from the „pistol body divided“ folder together as
shown in the pictures. Put some glue on one side and lay the parts flat on
the table. then push them together tightly. Once the glue has set, wipe off
excess glue and let it dry. To avoid messing up your table, you can put a
foil (e.g. a bag) underneath.

glue the pistol body together:

13
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
To keep the correct alignment you can use screws that you put into the
existing drill holes. When everything is dry put the m3 nuts in the
designated places in the magazine parts (left and right) and then screw in
the m3x6mm screws.

Now you can start to mount the pistol together:

Insert the 3mm dowel pins into the holes as shown in the photo and place
the locking lever and the magazine spring lever together with the springs.

14
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Then you can put on the second half of the pistol and screw it together (7
pieces m3x25mm and 1 piece m3x16mm)

15
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Next, cut off a piece (approx. 27.5mm) from the aluminum or brass tube
and insert the 2mm dowel pins into the holes provided as shown in the
picture.

Glue it together.

16
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
17
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Insert the last 3mm dowel pins into the holes as shown in the picture. If it's
a little tough, use a pair of pliers.

Making the string:

Please watch Jörg Sprave´s video to understand how to make the string.

Please mark the spot as shown in the picture at approx. 18mm. This will be
the loop. The string should later have a total length of 115mm. Cut a piece
of dyneema rope with a length approx 330mm.

18
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Then we splice the cord 2 times (not 3 times) through itself.

19
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
The same on the other side. And then we make a simple knot on the end
which prevents the cord from slipping back (first only on one side).

20
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Now we put the string through the pistol. And make the sekond knot on the
other side.

21
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Cutting the rubber:

Cut 2 strips of 60mm and 2 strips of 3mm from the theraband gold. The
easiest way to do is with a rotary cutter. Tightening the rubber requires
some strength, if you have problems when tightening, the width of the
rubber can be reduced to 50mm or 40mm.

22
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
23
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Fold the rubber in half and then fold it in half again. Then fix the rubber
with a clothespin.

24
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Thread the rubber through the loop and fold it again.

25
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Put the rubber on the slingshot arm as shown and wrap the narrow piece of
rubber tightly around it.

26
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Put the penultimate wrap over your thumb and the last wrap under your
thumb. Then try to pull the end through the resulting loop.

27
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Then the same on the other side. Now it's getting a bit fiddly, but with a
little skill it's easy to do ;)

28
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Carefully rotate the slingshot arm 180 degrees.

29
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
Now grab the slingshot arm with one hand as shown in the picture and
hold the pistol with the other hand. Then you pull the slingshot arm onto
The muzzle of the pistol and tighten the last screws (2 pieces m3x16mm).

30
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
When everything is in place it should look like this.
It´s very important that the knots face outwards. You can shorten the
ends of the string after the first shots. If the ends separate, you can
carefully melt the ends with a lighter.

31
PC 1911 D.G. 24.09.2022
The grip plates can simply be screwed on, the screws (M3x6mm) is simply
screwed into the plastic. Finally, knot the paracord rope (length approx.
360mm) and you're ready to go.

I hope you have a lot of fun with it. To increase the life of the
string, it is advisable to lubricate it with silicone grease from time
to time. But be careful not to get any silicone on the slingshot arm,
otherwise the rubber bands could slip off.
