SUPERTITIOUS BELIEFS IN CATARMAN

NORTHERN SAMAR

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Superstitions beliefs may also influence the housing market,
educational outcomes, financial decisions, education laws, and
stock prices. There has, however, been no study on superstitious
beliefs among Filipino millennials. Millennials are diametrically
opposed to their predecessors, Generation X. This study seeks to
identify a millennial's perspective on Filipino superstitious
beliefs and their impact on an individual's life, as well as to
clarify the notion of superstition and its implications condition
at the present time.

Superstition had been entwined with the fact of normal daily

events when combined with everyday living. Because superstitions
and science coexist in the current generation, we can discern
which of the two we should always rely on. Being superstitious
can influence your behavior and perspective, affecting everything
from your performance on a certain test to your receptivity to
bogus treatments. Sultana and colleagues, 2019). Superstitions
appear to be a more complex idea than simply believing that an
unrelated activity (or thing) will increase performance. The
legitimacy of superstitions is dependent on faith in the power of
enchantment and magic. Somehow, their ancestors' supernatural
beliefs and practices continue to have a significant impact on
their daily lives of modern Filipinos. Superstitions beliefs may
also have an impact on the housing market, school outcomes,
financial decisions, education laws, and stock prices. There has,
however, been no study on superstitious beliefs among Filipino

Generation X's forefathers). This study seeks to identify a
millennial's perspective on Filipino superstitious beliefs and
their impact on an individual's life, as well as to clarify the
notion of superstition and its implications state in the current
time.
This study intends to address millennials' perspectives about
Filipino superstitious beliefs and how they can influence one's
behavior and performance. The study looked at the following
questions: (1) Why do the chosen respondents believe in
superstitions? (2) How do superstitions affect the lives of
millennials? (3) What are millennials' current attitudes about
several Filipino superstitions? (4) How do superstitious beliefs
influence one's performance and behavior? In the research design,
we used the qualitative method, namely phenomenology. We
conducted interviews and administered surveys. Using the relevant
measurements and analysis, data was recorded, processed,
categorized, and organized. Belief in superstitions is one of the
fundamental customs that Filipinos are taught as they grow up. It
has been demonstrated that not all millennials have abandoned
their belief in various Filipino superstitions. The responses
from the participants all had various values. They, too, have the
same concept about how to repay our predecessors' respect. Being
superstitious can influence perceptions, influencing everything
for execution and decision-making. Indeed, it is based on a
specific test to assess the response to bogus treatments.
According to the report, millennials still believe in the power
of superstitions based on their own experiences, family
traditions, or even relatives. This study is an attempt to
clarify the existing knowledge of superstitions.
