CHAPTER IV
DATA PRESENTATION, INTERPRETATION, AND ANALYSIS

In this chapter, the data that were collected from the responses to the
questionnaires that were administered was analyzed and interpreted. The focus of this
chapter was to summarize and present research results.

Table 1 revealed the Usefulness of CCTV Cameras in Crimes Against Property.
Statement number 2 ‘The CCTV aids in monitoring banks, malls or other
establishment.’ got the highest mean of 3.93 ( Highly Useful ). Statement number 3 ‘Reduce
theft or motor vehicles and some other forms of acquisitive crimes in areas
where there are CCTV cameras.’ has the mean of 3.85 which is also Highly Useful to the
respondents. Statement 1,7 and 9, got the same mean of 3.83 ( Highly Useful ). Statement number
4 ‘The presence of CCTV reduces property related crime.’ got the mean of 3.78 ( Highly
Useful ).
Based on the response of the respondents it can be concluded that, CCTV Cameras are
highly useful in crimes against property.

Table 2 revealed the Usefulness of CCTV Cameras in Crimes Against Persons.

Statement number 9 ‘Protection of staff and student’ got the highest mean of 3.75
( Highly Useful ). Statement number 1 and 10 got the same mean of 3.73 ( Highly useful).
Statement number 2,3 and 6 got the same mean 3.65 (Highly Useful). Statement number 8 ‘The
use of CCTV camera reduces crimes and criminals.’ got the mean of 3.63 ( Highly
Useful ).
Based on the result shown above, it can be concluded that, CCTV Cameras are highly
useful in Crimes Against Persons.

power to the security guards on duty for patrolling the school premises.’ got the
mean of 3.75 (Highly Effective). Statement number 1,3 and 7 got the same mean 3.73
(Highly Effective). Statement number 9 got the mean of 3.65 (Highly Effective).
Based on the response of the respondents it is revealed that, CCTV Cameras are highly
effective on Crime Prevention.
