Final Assignment SSC 232
Final Assignment SSC 232
Final Assignment
This final assignment is designed to teach you how to identify various kinds of historical
writing among the secondary sources you will use in your research at IBA and beyond. It
therefore relies on the use of JSTOR, a digital library/online research database used widely
by students at IBA.
You will have to attempt your own assignments individually. This is not a group assignment.
You will have eight days to complete this assignment, so please take your time. This will
involve identifying the assigned author, surveying their various articles on JSTOR, choosing
one you like, exploring the article text and perhaps even just Googling their name to find out
more about them.
If you run into any major obstacles while completing this assignment, please let me know.
Do not, however, attempt to plagiarize from your colleagues’ work. I will find out and the
penalty for plagiarizing will be a zero in the final assignment. That will be thirty percent
gone from one’s grade. Please do not risk it.
