A Persuasive Speech: Climate Change

Greeting
The effects of climate change are far-reaching; they include rising temperatures, more
frequent and intense storms, more significant drought, a warming and rising ocean, extinction of
species, scarcity of food, higher health risks, and increased poverty and displacement. Experts
estimate that we have only nine years left to rescue the earth if we do not modify our habits. As a
result, I (name) am writing to urge you to do your part to help save our world.
Body
"How can we help?" comes to mind. With the majority of you being students, there are several
simple ways in which you can help. The most straightforward and most effective answer to this
problem is to save energy, which I strongly recommend you do. You can begin in the comfort of
your own home. To slow down the rate of climate change, you have been recommended to
consume less power and heat. In addition, you may aid by keeping track of the food you
consume. I advise everyone to eat more fruits and vegetables than meat, which significantly
impacts the environment. The energy and resources needed in growing, producing, packaging,
and transporting these things are likewise squandered if you toss them away instead of eating
what you have. Diesel or gasoline is the fuel of choice for most modern autos. By choosing to
walk or cycle rather than drive, you may help the environment while improving your health.
Whenever feasible, take the train or bus. Coal, oil, and gas are the primary sources of our energy.
You may save energy by using less heat and air conditioning, LED lighting, energy-efficient
appliances, and washing your clothes in cold water rather than hot water. The US Youth Climate
Strike is an excellent example of a national movement that encourages young people to take
action against climate change. There are several ways to get involved, including protests,
fundraising, charity, public awareness campaigns, social media, and letters to the editor. Voters
should educate themselves about the positions of state, local, and federal officials on climate
change before casting their ballots because everyone can help slow global warming down. Voters
should. Everything we do, from how we get about to what we eat, can be rethought, and
improved upon. Starting small is the best way to help the environment.
Conclusion
In the end, climate change is a significant issue that we must address. Just a few of the numerous
ways you and I may help slow things down and extend our lives on this earth are outlined in this
lecture. We must all do our part to ensure that our children and grandchildren have a bright
future if this climate change is prevented. Please accept my gratitude, and help to rescue the
earth!
