1. Project Management Plan


Focus Area Details

Cost Management The costs and effort of the project is expected to be minimal
due to the research nature of the project. There are no
expected costs beyond personal travel expenses, rent for office
etc.. for research purposes. Any requirements of further
expenses like purchases of software tools and resources will be
logged in project as documented change.

Quality Management Quality Assurance: Software portability, usability, reusability,


correctness, maintainability and control aspects are
documented and reviewed periodically. Based on the
retrospection feedback, further improvements are made to
ensure quality.
Quality Control: Based on three classes/parameters (product,
process, resources) and the process includes planning, doing,
checking and acting. Adopted to delivery high quality software
at low costs.

Risk Management The projected risks include technical and management factors.
These include unpredictable factors like software bugs,
oversights, performance issues, API errors and device
malfunctions. Unavailability of resources during development
and testing phase, along with management issues factor in as
potential risks in the way of scheduled time for delivery of
software. This also includes leave due to being sick.
Management of projected risks can be done through
identification of possible risks and analyzing each one to
determine the probability of occurrence and impact.
Solution is to Develop a contingency plan to manage
risks having high probability and high impact.
