Problem Set 1

This document contains 18 signal processing and digital communications problems involving Fourier transforms, bandwidth, bit rates, signal levels, pulse amplitude modulation, and more. The problems cover topics such as calculating the Fourier transform of various signals; finding output power when a signal passes through a cable; determining maximum bit rate based on bandwidth and bit levels; calculating number of signal levels or bits required to transmit at a given rate; and relating impulse responses to outputs in discrete-time linear time-invariant systems.
