For this Speaking Test 1, you need to work individually.

Part I: Prepare Script ( 25%)

1. Use the vocabulary and sentence structure that you have learned in Lesson 1 to 5 to
construct 10 sentences for the topic : Self Introduction.
2. Please use make sure that 90% of the words is from the textbook. For the additional
words please consult with your lecturer.
3. Write your sentences in Hanyu Pinyin with tone and also the translation .Please print
out your first draft before 30th of December , 2022 (Friday) at 12:30 noon (week 4)
using the template given.
4. Your final draft must be typed, using the template given and then convert to PDF file
and submit at Teams Class and print out your draft. In your final draft, you are
required to include a cover page before 6th of January 2023 (Friday) at 12:30 noon
(week 5) .
5. Consultation marks is 25%.
6. Please make sure the font is Arial with the size of 14.

Part II: Self Introduction Video ( 25%)


1. After you had done your script, you need to complete the topic by video recorded and upload
at Classroom Teams. Please refer the rubric given.
2. You need to use props or appropriate pictures to describe the 10 sentences that you
have constructed to make your presentation more interesting and personalize.
3. Your delivery, confidence and creativity will be evaluated in the rubric.
4. You can use the mobile phone apps to do the video recording and editing. Besides, you can
use computer video editing software to edit your video as well. However, you need to
upload the video by using the laptop or computer. Your presentation shall not
more than 5 minutes.
5. Upload your video presentation to Teams before 13th of January 2023 (Friday) at
12:30 noon (week 6).
6. The final video marks is 25%.

The extra vocabulary was found in the script. Good ideas were

interesting and personalized.

Part II: Let’s Travel Video


Introduction
A clear introduction of the presenter and topic was done fluently, and /5
it was able to catch the audiences’ attention.
Content
The video recording contains all the 10 sentences written in the self- /5
introduction script.
Delivery
The presentation was pronounced correctly and fluently with /5
appropriate pauses. The voice projection was loud and clear.
Confidence
The presentation was done without referring to any notes and
showing total understanding towards the piece. Besides, confidence /5
was shown from their eye contact, gesture and voice projection.

Creativity
Creativity like pictures, props, audios and videos were found in the
video to make the presentation more interesting and personalize. /5
