    Christine Lee Silawan , a 16-year-old high school student was found dead in a vacant lot
    in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Her body was discovered with multiple stabs, wounds and face
    skinned beyond recognition; she was also naked from waist.
    Forensic investigation stated that Silawan was murdered sometime between 6:00 pm and 7:00
    pm on March 10, 2019. A CCTV footage shows Silawan walking with a man in the early
    evening, and it was this was the last known footage of her,
    According to the investigation, the 16 year old student’s boyfriend supposedly used a fake
    account in Facebook to lure her into meeting, investigators suspected that the suspect catfished
    and used a false online identity in setting a meet up,
    The murder suspect, identified as 'John', was arrested at his home in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-
    Lapu City on March 16, 2019, based on conversation exchanged on Facebook Messenger
    The authorities said that Silawan broke up with John a few days before her murder, adding that
    they are looking at jealousy as the possible motive.
    The NBI reviewed Facebook Messenger exchanges between the suspect and Silawan where they
    found some deleted messages. They were also looking for evidence of the suspect's usage of a
    fake account to lure the victim into meeting her on March 10.
    Autopsy Report:
    Dr. Erwin Erfe of the forensics lab of the Public Attorney's Office says there were signs of
    extensive abrasions and hematoma on Christine Silawan's genitals, proving she was raped and
    that force was used on her
    There are also multiple signs of hematoma, it also includes the methods use to skin the face of
    the victim, medical experts’ states that, “Acid (Muriatic Acid) was poured to the victim’s face,
    the process was so clean, the muscle and fats melts, its only possible using the acid
    There are also traces that the victim was strangled using the hands, the right hand was used it
    was visible in the left part of christines neck the fingerprint marks.
    Silawan sustained a total of 20 stab wounds, and nine more believed to be defense wounds, an
    indication that Silawan attempted to fight back.

    About a month following the arrest of christines ex 43 years old Renato ienes was taken into
    custody with completely different charge but while at the station he told the police about
    something weighing down on his mind, it was then when he broke down out of guilt and
    confessed out of knower that he’s responsible for killing and skinning Christine silawan,
    Once the news of this man was release on public, police were convince that the case was closed,
    christine’s ex was release shortly after the illegal technicality as it turned out he was arrested
    without a warrant, but the cops didn’t have concern about this anyway, since the perpetrator
    gaslighted and admitted the act himself.
    In may 2020 ienes was found dead in his cell believe that he has taken his own life, in the end
    multiple views of the people arouse and pondered the question, is there really a justice given to
    the teenager Christine silawan.
