TURNITIN TUTORIAL

QUICK GUIDE
For Secondary Teachers
2023
CONTENTS

Step 1: Log in to Turnitin and add a class
STEP 2: CREATE A CLASS
Step 2(a): Fill out the necessary fields
Then click submit
Step 2(b): Click Continue button
Step 2(b): New Class is now created
Step 3: Click the new Class

Step 4: Click “Add Assignment”


Step 4 (a): Fill out the fields.
Then, click “Optional Settings”

Do NOT CLICK
Submit yet.
Step 4 (b): Fill out the required fields same as below.
Then click “Submit” button.
Step 4: The assignment is now set.
Step 5: To add Students
Go to Student Tab.
Step 5 (a):
Click “Add Student” if adding individual students.
Otherwise, click “Upload Student List” if you want all class.
Step 5 (a): Fill out the required fields. Then click Submit.
Students will receive an email message to log in if they
already have an account.
Students are displayed on teacher’s account.
Step 6: To view students’ submission paper
, click tab “Students”
Step 6: Click student’s name to view similarity.
Click the percentage similarity to view plagiarism and
sources

Students’ paper
can be downloaded
Click all sources icon to view each source and
plagiarism

Click Sources icon.


All Sources view page (Students’ Paper)
Teachers can add their comments in Quick Marks and
Feedback Summary section page.

Teachers can give a
grade here if needed.

Teachers can use the quick icon


to give comments as well.
STUDENTS’ ACCOUNT PAGE

Students click their


enrolled class name.

Students submit
here their project
paper.
Students upload their file on Turnitin.
Students confirm their uploaded paper.
Students click return to assignment to view similarity.
Students click the percentage similarity to view
plagiarism sources. Students can resubmit.
Students view the percentage of plagiarism and
sources.
