ADJECTIVES
**Materials:**
- Whiteboard and markers
- Adjective flashcards or pictures
- Worksheets with sentences that require adjectives
**Introduction:**
1. Begin by asking the students what they know about adjectives. Have
they heard the term before? What do they think it means?
2. Explain that adjectives are words that describe or modify nouns or
pronouns. They give more information about the person, place, or thing

3. Show the students some examples of adjectives using flashcards or
pictures. For example, show a picture of a big dog and ask the students
what word they could use to describe the dog.
**Lesson:**

mat." Ask the students to identify the noun in the sentence (cat) and then
ask them what word they could use to describe the cat.
2. Explain that adjectives can come before or after the noun they are
describing. Write two new sentences on the board to illustrate this point.
For example, "The blue car is fast" and "The car is blue."
3. Give the students worksheets with sentences that require adjectives.
Have them fill in the blank with the appropriate adjective.
