evidence
b. Describe the kind of curriculum that exists as described in the article.
c. What does the author mean, when he said “A curriculum should be timeless?’
explain.
d. What is the difference between education and training?
Activity 2 – observing a Curriculum in a Classroom
Visit a Classroom other than your own with permission from the teacher. (Elem, High School,
College).
Do the two activities:
1. Observe the classroom situation.
2. Interview the teacher
Focus your observation and interview on the presence or absence of the seven types of curricula
and their descriptions.
3. Record your observation and interview on the matrix provided.
Guide questions for observation and interview
1. What curricula are present in the classroom from my observation?
Answer: Based on my observation the 7 types of curricula are present in the classroom.
2. What curricula are present in the classroom from my interview?
Answer: Based on my interview the 7 types of curricula are applied on the classroom
discussion.
3. How do I describe what I observed? Interviewed?
Answer: Regarding from the information I gathered the seven types of curricula are
present which is, it is very important and become their guide to deliver the curriculum
successfully.
4. Is there a type of curricula not present in the classroom? Identify.
Answer: So far, based on my observation there is none so far curricula presented in the
classroom.

1. Recommended Based on my interview and observation it was
being recommended by CHED
2. Written According to my information gathered the
written curriculum presented are the
instructional guides and course of syllabus
3. Taught The information I get from my interview and
observation they have a thorough discussion,
teachers facilitate the learners or the reporter
well. The learning style of the teacher is that
she commented immediately about the topic
presented by the learners (misinformation)
using the instructional materials the learners
style from passive to active.
4. Supported Based on my observation the supported
curriculum presented is Using the PowerPoint
presentation through projector, they project
the presentation in order to have a clearer
visual of the topic.
5. Assessed From my observation assessment for learning
is present and the teacher give feedback and
assessed the learning of the learners or
progress about a certain topic (formative
assessment).
6. Learned The learners are able to participate in the
discussion, most the student recite from
passive to active learners.
7. Hidden Teachers are carefully get into discussion
Without letting the reporter feel that they are
wrong and making them feel low self-esteem.
