i. In-person Counselling: This is a face to face counselling sessions which takes
place in the counsellor’s chamber where you meet them in person after scheduled
appointment to discuss your problems. It is the most popular counselling formats
because if you wish to focus on your problem this session is better.
ii. Group Counselling: In this, professionals provide group counselling session
where you can join to address the issue. Joining such group will help you find
people with similar problems and will be able to develop a strong network of
support as well.
iii. Telephonic Session: This is a type of counselling done over the telephone. It is a
great alternative to in-person counselling in which telephonic rounds can be
scheduled to the comfort of your home. Telephonic counselling rounds are best for
busy individuals who might find it difficult to get into the chambers. In this
flexible process, you can discuss your problems with the counsellor in a secured
environment of your room.
iv. On-line Counselling: This is a process when you don’t want to meet face-to-face
with your counsellor and want to protect your anonymity. You have the option of
emailing the counsellor. This process gives you the scope to think well and decide

which of the problems you want to discuss with your counsellor. This kind of
counselling is becoming much more popular these days.
