Step 1: Open Microsoft PowerPoint


Step 2: Choose “Blank Presentation”, or choose a template that you like.
Step 4: Type your title on the box that says “Click here to add title”.
ADDING A NEW SLIDE
Step 6: Click on the “New Slide” button to add a new slide. Click the small arrow button to display more slide options.
Step 7: Right Click on a slide to display slide options.

Using the options, you can Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Duplicate, Change Layout, etc. Explore the options.
INSERTING CONTENTS TO A SLIDE
You can insert shapes, pictures, videos, textbox, word arts, charts, etc.
Step 9: Click the “INSERT” Tab. And choose what you want to insert.
Step 9.1 Inserting a Picture – Click on the “Picture” and select the image that you want to insert.

Try inserting other objects like shapes and tables.


PUTTING HYPERLINKS
Hyperlinks can be used to navigate your slides easily.
Insert the following shapes
Create New Slides and Type Descriptions for each shape.

Link the shapes to the slides with their corresponding description.


To put Hyperlinks

1. Click on a shape
2. Click on the “INSERT” tab
3. Click on the “Hyperlink”
4. Choose “Place in this document”
5. Click the slide with the description of the shape that you clicked.
6. Click “Ok”.
7. Do the same steps for the other shapes.
8. Display your presentation by pressing F5 on the keyboard or clicking on the slide show button at the bottom right corner of
your screen. Click on the shapes to test the hyperlinks.
Note: Hyperlinks can also be applied texts, pictures, letters, etc.
DESIGNING YOUR PRESENTATION
You can design your presentation using shapes, colors, or themes. To choose a theme. Click on the “DESIGN” Tab.

Click on the themes and see the results.


Animations and Transitions
Animations are used to put movements to the elements in your presentation.
To put animations, open the “ANIMATIONS” tab.

1. Click on a shape, text, pictures, etc. that you want to animate.


2. Choose an animation in the animation options.
Transitions are used to put a style when moving from one slide to another. To do this, click the “TRANSITIONS” tab.

1. Click on a slide where you want to put your transitions.


2. Select a transition style that you like.
TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Make a PowerPoint presentation with at least 5 slides, of any topic that you want.
Your presentation must have the following:
a. Animations
b. Transitions
c. Hyperlinks
