REVIEWING OF THE PAST LESSON
Last meeting, we studied about the different file and computer
maintenance. And for me to see if you already understand our last
lesson, let us answer these questions. Raise your hand if you want
to answer. The answer should be True or False.
Answer Key:
_____1. File and computer maintenance are less important since 1. False
the user will always scan and update his antivirus and spyware. 2. True
_____2. There are two ways of opening the content of the file or 3. False
folder in the computer. 4. False
_____3. Disk defragmentation will lessen the efficiency of data 5. True
retrieval and the improvement of computer performance.
_____4. Dusty computer is a good indication that the computer is
properly maintain by the owner.
_____5. Running an antivirus scan is an important part of
maintaining your computer and avoiding complications.
B. Establishing a And today we are going to have a new endeavour with Basic File
Purpose for the and Computer Maintenance. As we go through with this lesson,
Lesson you are expected to:
1. identify object/s or component to be measured;
2. obtain correct specifications from relevant source;
3. select measuring tools in line with job requirements;
4. select appropriate measuring instrument to achieve the
required outcome;
C. Presenting Activity: “Let us identify”
examples/instances Directions: To start with the lesson, let us identify first the use of

concept and skills in
daily living How can you assure that your components are exact
specifications for the specific computer?
In our present generation, what is the advantages of using
this memory and devices given that we already have much (Students answer may vary.)
more advanced technology?
H. Making Today, we have studied about the different memory and storage
generalization and devices that we can use when saving data and accessing data in
abstraction about the computer. There are several devices we can use. Under memory,
lesson we have two. The Random Access Memory (RAM) and Read-
Only Memory (ROM). While under the storage devices, we have
Hard Disk, Floppy Disk, External Flash Drive and Optical Drive.
And last but not the least, under the different Drive Interfaces, we
have the Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE), Serial ATA (SATA),
and Small Computer System Interface (SCSI).
Those are all the devices you can use still in saving your files in
your computer and transferring it to another computer also.
Do you have any questions regarding our topic for today? None, ma’am.
Then, I have one question for you. Among all those devices that
we have discussed, which do you think works best? (Students answer may vary.)
Very well said. You have different answer and that is no problem
at all because we really don’t resemble each and every one. And
just a quick reminder to all of you, you are all unique in your own
ways so stop trying to be someone you’re really not just to fit in.
Okay?
