    and H-Lookup
    V-Lookup and H-Lookup are two of the most commonly used
    functions in Microsoft Excel. They allow users to search for
    specific information in a table and return corresponding
    values from another column or row.
    V-Lookup stands for Vertical Lookup, while H-Lookup stands
    for Horizontal Lookup. Both functions require specific
    arguments to work properly, including the lookup value, the
    table array, the column index number, and the range lookup
    value.
    Using V-Lookup
    in Excel
    To use V-Lookup in Excel, first select
    the cell where you want the result
    to appear. Then, type the formula
    =VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_a
    rray,col_index_num,range_looku
    p) into the formula bar.

    The lookup value is the value you want to search for in the table, while the
    table array is the range of cells that contains the data you want to search
    through. The col_index_num is the number of the column from which you
    want to return the corresponding value, and the range lookup value is
    either TRUE or FALSE, depending on whether you want an exact match or
    an approximate match.
    Using H-Lookup
    in Excel
    H-Lookup works similarly to V-Lookup,
    but instead of searching vertically, it
    searches horizontally. To use H-
    Lookup in Excel, you follow the same
    steps as with V-Lookup, but change
    the formula to

    =HLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array,row_index_num,range_lookup)
    The lookup value and table array arguments are the same as with V-
    Lookup, but the row_index_num argument specifies the row number from
    which you want to return the corresponding value.
