Hi, I am ROSEMARY THOMAS V.

, a competent, skilled, and hardworking physiotherapist

from Kerala. Since I was a little girl, I have been interested in physiotherapy, and I hope to
make that my career one day. The degree is a good fit for me because it combines two things
I am interested in—sports and science. As a person who likes to move around, I have also
found it very interesting to think about the scientific process in the real world.

One of the most important things I learned from this experience was that elite
physiotherapists need their equipment to do a better job. I've always wanted to work with
people, and I've been interested in the human body and biological research for as long as I
can remember. I think physiotherapy is an excellent job for anyone who loves science and
medicine and wants to put their knowledge to use.

My practicum experiences have taken me to a school for children with severe special needs, a
private practice that treats sports injuries, an army installation, an animal hydrotherapy
center, and several hospitals. Working in different fields has shown me how they are different
and the same. I have seen massage and manipulation, hydrotherapy pools, tens machines, and
ultrasound.

A physiotherapist's goal is to help each patient reach their best level of functioning without
using invasive medical procedures. I also know that doctors are just one part of a more
extensive system and can't solve everyone's problems. I'm taking an advanced biology course
and working toward a vocational qualification because I'm interested in the human body and
sports. Through the breadth and depth of biology and the academic and practical parts of the
vocational course, like anatomy, physiology, sports massage, and sports injuries, I have a
strong foundation for my future studies in physiotherapy. I'm interested in many different
things because I'm willing to learn and try new things. These include modern architecture,
ideas for cars of the future, modern technology, and social comedy. I find their shocking
visual stimulation and disputed character to be utterly fascinating. Science and health are like
an ocean with many things to discover. We shouldn't rest on our laurels; instead, we should
spend the rest of our lives finding out one secret after another. I want to study and work in
physiotherapy because it makes a big difference in our healthcare system and combines my
interests in biology, technology, and medicine. I want to work as a physical therapist.

I became interested in physiotherapy after going to a physiatrist. To be able to move around

and walk in several ways. Over a few weeks of therapy, my broken leg got better quickly.
Becoming a physiatrist is noble because it helps people get back on their feet and feel better.
Since then, I've been very interested in physiotherapy. I went to a Department of Health-
sponsored seminar on what physiatrists do so I could understand physiotherapy better. I'm
interested in geriatric physical therapy because of its critical role in poor areas. A
physiotherapist is a great way to help older people get the most out of their bodies and
improve their mobility and independence. I saw first-hand how hard it is for a stroke victim
to depend on others for basic needs. But I saw first-hand how physical therapy exercises,
patience, and firm encouragement helped patients recover from an acute stroke that had left
them completely helpless and dependent. I saw first-hand how encouraging physiotherapy
can be when I helped an elderly patient overcome their fear of becoming dependent on others,
helped them with daily tasks, and taught them how to sit straight.

One of the main reasons I became a physiotherapist was so I could help spread the word
about how important it is to exercise regularly and eat healthy food. I also have the flexibility
to deal with many different problems. I think this is very important because a
physiotherapist's schedule is constantly changing to meet the needs of new patients. I have
the excellent communication skills needed to do well in this program. I completed my
bachelor of physiotherapy in 2018 from Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, Mangalore. I have
many clinical training experiences in the OPD department for 15 days, the orthopedics
department for one month, the general medicine department, the general surgery department,
the ICU/CCU/NICU department, the neurosurgery department, the pediatrics department, the
OBG department, and community physiotherapy department of 15 days.

Moreover, I have a whole year and 11 months of different hospital experience, such as
TEJASWINI HOSPITAL & SSIOT, Kadri, Mangalore, NITTE GAJRIA HOSPITAL,
Karkala, Mangalore, BENAKA HEALTH CENTRE, Ujire, Karnataka and SOUL PHYSIO,
Physiotherapy Clinic & Sports Fitness Centre, Bangalore with different duties and
responsibilities such as Evaluation and education of the patient. I gave the patient and me the
responsibility for developing and carrying out the specific intervention utilizing graded
services. Handled the duties of evaluating and monitoring the treatment to gauge the results
and progress of the intervention. Performed a range of therapies for patients with ailments
connected to pediatric, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, oncologic, neurological, and
cardiorespiratory issues, among others. Gathered referrals and completed the duty of making
rounds with the concerned consultant. I have completed more crucial tasks as needed. ICU
patient assessment and management. Assigned tasks of preparing case notes and reports of
patients. Giving ergonomic advice to those who needed it. Handling and maintenance of
electrotherapy modalities.

My academic project is "Physiotherapy interventions for the problem faced by Post-

Menopausal Osteoporotic Women." Furthermore, I attend various conferences, workshops,
and webinars to enhance my knowledge in the fast-growing field of physical therapy. Some
meetings, webinars, and seminars are as NITTE PHYSIO-CON 2015 national physiotherapy
conferences. PHYSIO-CON 2017 international physiotherapy conference held at NITTE
University. First Manipal international physiotherapy conference MIPCON-2017. Mangalore
PHYSIO-CON 2018 – Preconference scientific workshop Entrepreneurship in physiotherapy.
Webinar by World Health Organisation – Health Emergency Programme on "Covid 19
Operational Planning Guidelines and Covid 19 Partners Platform to Support Country
Preparedness and Response" 2020.

I hope I was able to show you how motivated I am and how good I could be as a
physiotherapist. If you let me join your hospital as a clinical physiotherapist, I promise to do
my best and make a real difference.
