CSC134_ASSIGNMENT 1

Computer user identified:

The objective of this assignment is to propose a computer for a Computer Programmer.
Computer programmer refers to a person who produces software or programmes for
computers. Computer programmers create the code or instructions that enable computers to
carry out the tasks that their users teach them to. Programmers can specialise in particular
languages that are helpful in a variety of fields. For instance, some are used by financial
organisations and others by scientists.

Introduction
Computer is a machine or device that perform processes, calculations and operations
based on instructions provided by a software or hardware program. It has a ability to accept
data (input), process it, and then produce outputs. Computers can also store data for later uses
in appropriate storage devices, and retrieve whenever it is necessary. Modern computers are
electronic devices used for a variety of purposes ranging from browsing the web, writing
documents, editing videos, creating applications and playing video games. They are designed
to execute applications and provide a variety of solutions by combining integrated hardware
and software components.

A computer programmer, often known as a systems programmer, creates code to

improve the performance of software programmes. They are responsible for managing
numerous operating systems, developing and updating source code, and building software
solutions.

System Unit
System unit is typically used to distinguish between the computer's internal components and
its external hardware, including the keyboard, mouse, and display. A system unit is the
portion of a computer that holds the main hardware components that carry out operations and
generate output for intricate computations. It consists of the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and
other parts, as well as the housing for these gadgets. The majority of the tasks that a computer
is required to do are handled by this device.

System board
The system board, commonly known as the mother board, is a printed circuit board and it is
the biggest board in a chassis of the foundation of computer. It allows allocated powers and
enables communication the CPU, RAM and all other computer hardware.

Software
Software is a collection of data, programmes, and instructions needed to run machines and
carry out particular activities. Hardware, which describes a computer's external components,
is the opposite of software. Applications, scripts, and programmes that run a device are
collectively referred to as "software" in this context. It might be considered the changeable
component of a computer, whereas hardware is the constant component.

An example of a computer software is Microsoft Windows, a type of proprietary software

type of operating software. Microsoft Windows also referred as Windows and Windows OS,
is a computer operating system (OS) developed and published by Microsoft Corporation. It
offers functions such as storing files, running software, entertainment purposes as well as
connecting to the Internet.

Antivirus
Example: Norton

Norton is an antivirus that focuses on security of computers. It aims to produce online privacy
and identity protection in addition to antivirus amd antimalware software for Windows,
macOS, iOS, and chromeOS. Norton subscription cost RM129.00 for an unlimited Norton
license.

Conclusion
To summarize, I found that the findings in this assignment shows that fully integrated
system software will allow an employee to work more effectively and enhance their job
performances. The fully integrated system software can be said that it is indispensable for
everyone in this modern technology era. It has helped businesses and individuals to increase
their efficiency and effectiveness. Drastic improvements in software allow companies and
employees to grow and keep up with consumers’ needs.

I find the usage of technology and system software to be both interesting and crucial to
the industries while also improving many people’s daily lives. For example, without
Microsoft Windows, products such as Windows Phones, Skype, Windows Server, and even
Outlook would no longer exist. Truth is, it impossible to imagine the PC world without
Microsoft. Without a doubt, there is absolutely some industries out there that can no longer
exist without PC or computer system softwares while other industry would have harder time
which also impacts our society as these softwares are convenient and easily accessible to the
society.

In conclusion, I hope that today’s modern technology as well as software will continue to
improve in more years to come. Computer and softwares is important in our lives because it
makes dealing with the unpredictable aspects of daily life and the jobs of various businesses
and industries easier.
