"Abortion." Gale Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection, Gale, 2022. Gale In Context:

In this article, the author, who is not named, discusses not only the process of an abortion
and what it is but also includes outside factors that have an effect on it. The author covers
the difference between surgical and medical abortions, Roe V. Wade, the campaign to
overturn Roe V. Wade, and abortion rights post-Roe V. Wade era. While this article is not
proven to be credible, it seems to me research was done before just spitting random facts
on the internet. This article was a well-rounded piece of information for someone new to
the subject or just trying to learn more.

ProCon.org. “Abortion Pros and Cons.” Procon.org, ProCon.org, 9 May 2019,

abortion.procon.org/.

Written by Procon.org, is an article with a brief opening statement followed by a 6

statement list comparing 3 pros and three cons on common abortion-related topics. These
topics include: “Abortion is a safe medical procedure that protects lives” versus “Life
begins at conception, making abortion murder”, “Abortion bans endanger healthcare for
those not seeking abortions” versus “Legal abortion promotes a culture in which life is
disposable” and “Abortion bans deny bodily autonomy, creating wide-ranging
repercussions” versus “Increased access to birth control, health insurance, and sexual
education would make abortion unnecessary.”

Roth, Amanda. "When Does the Fetus Acquire a Moral Status of a Human Being? The
Philosophy of 'Gradualism' Can Provide Answers." Gale Opposing Viewpoints Online
Collection, Gale, 2023. Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints,

acquire a moral status of a human being? The philosophy of 'gradualism' can provide
answers," The Conversation, 30 June 2022.

Amanda Roth the author of this article, is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and
Women's & Gender Studies. Making her a credible author, this article is most definitely
reliable as we can trust she has done her research giving her her title. The main point of
her writing was to determine when a fetus acquires the moral status of a human being.
However, that is not the only subject she discusses in her paper. She also includes
information on restrictions and delayed abortions.

Walther, Matthew. "Undoing Roe Will Disrupt More Than Abortion. I'm OK With That."
New York Times, 12 May 2022, p. A27(L). Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints,

A New York Times writer, Matthew Walther, whos a trusted author by many websites,
writes an article specifically focusing on the declaration of Roe V. Wade. Considering
Walther is not only just a writer with no background on women's health but is also a man
leads me to believe he is not reliable. However, I am still curious about his viewpoints.
He discusses the other effects of removing Roe. V. Wade rights and why he believes its a
good idea to revoke the right.

Abolishing Abortion: The History of the Pro-Life Movement in America. (n.d.). The

ife-movement-in-america/

This is an article written by Jennifer L. Holland a teacher and historian who is also an
expert on abortion history and specializes broadly in histories of gender. It was then
published under The American History page. With this information I believe the article is
reliable and a great way to learn from someone who does not only specialize in history
but, specifically abortion history. This article discusses the history of the Pro-Life
Movement in America. It also includes beliefs and feelings toward abortion based on
Pro-Life decisions and the history of Roe V. Wade.
