TEST SCENARIOS AND CASES FOR CAR(MANUAL GEAR CAR)

TEST SCENARIO:- VERIFY meterial and dimensions of car

TEST CASES:-
check which chessis type is use for car( Based on Engine Location: Conventional
Chassis,Semi Forward Chassis,Full forward or Bus Chassis,Centre Engine Chassis etc.
)
check car chessis made of what meterial(metal,alluminiun,ultra high strength steel
etc.)
check car frame made of what material (metal,alluminiun,ultra high strength steel
etc.)
check fiber parts installed on car
check mirrors installed installed in car
check glasses installed on car
check doors and thickness of doors and meterial of doors
check length ,width, breadth ,ground clearance and wheel distance of car
check sunroof and its durability in all seasons(meterial wuality of sunroof shoul
check)
check mechanisnm of sunroof opening and closing
check dashboard material is made of what(soft fiber,hard fiber,leather covered
cusion etc.)
check material of roof top of car
check car has alloy wheel or steel rims

TEST SCENARIO- verify the engine & Gear mechanism:

TEST CASES:-
check that the car starts when the key is turned to the "on" position
check that car engine should not turn on without full clutch
check that car gear type (manual,cvt,dct,imt)
check if it is manual it should have gear,acceletor,break and gear lever to shift
gears.
check that car gear should go into 1st gear if we apply 1st gear.
check that car reverse gear should not able to apply if car is running on more than
10kmph speed.
check car should turn on if we press clutch and turn on
check after turn on car dashboard should indicate that car is turn on & give reg
light signal for that on dashboard
check dashboard should indicate gear positioning and RPM indication acuurate
check rpm meter allert after 7000RMN crosses.
check that speed should shows accurate on dashboard.
check that if engin or gear mechanisn have any problem it should indicates on
dashboard.

TEST SCENARIO- verify the clutch mechanisn:

TEST CASES:-
check that car engine should not turn on without full clutch
check that car should not move forward until we use half clutch.
check that car gear should not apply without full clutch
check that if we apply clutch for changing gear car should move continously
without any jerk
check that if we press full clutch accelerator should not work
check that if we press half clutch accelerator should work in half strength
check that if we release full clutch accelerator should work with full strength
check that clutch should not hard (it may cause problem if it is hard to press in
traffic)
check that heavy use of clutch in traffic it should not wear out because of
constant friction
check the clutch oil level

TEST SCENARIO- verify the Brake system of car:

TEST CASES:-
check that car has disk breaks
check that car has handbreak or not
check that car break is working or not
check that car has drum breaks or not (front and back)
check that car has disk breaks on both sides (front and back)
check that car has ABS
check that car has ABS is working or not
check that car has EBD
check that car has EBD is working or not
check that car has ESC
check that car has ESC is working or not
check that car break fluid level
check that if we press break smoothly breaks should work smoothly
check that if we press full break car should stop immediately
check for any grinding or screeching noises when braking

TEST SCENARIO- verify the Steering and suspension of car:

TEST CASES:-
check that car has a power steering or Hydraulic or Electro-hydraulic or normal.
check after verifying if it has power steering it should move easily without
efforts.
check steering rotation should be low as compared to normal steering
check wheel allignment with steering is 100% or not
check steering should come back to default postion as soon as possible
check steering vibration
check below steering we have signal lever and wiper lever
check that car steering consist of air bag and hornon the center of steering
check that car has which suspension system eaf springs, coil springs, torsion bars,
and air springs.
check that car is giving confort ride or not on pot hole or bumpy roads.
check that car suspension is hard or smooth or balanced (if it is hard each and
every bump on road feels in side the car)
check that car suspension making noise or not
check if car is continously bounsing on humps or not(if is is bounsing suspension
has problem)
check that car suspension is not leaking oil

TEST SCENARIO- verify the Lights, signals , wiper and horn:

TEST CASES:-
check that car has which headlights (LED, HID or 'xenon', and halogen.)
check that car has which taillights (LED or halogen.)
check that car has fog lamps and which fog lamp ( LED, HID or 'xenon', and halogen)
check car lights should turn off autometically when car turn off
check that car headlights, taillights, turn signals, and emergency flashers are
working properly
check that car headlights should start autometically when it detects neight while
running condition.
check that the horn is loud and clear when we press it.
check that wiper should start autometicaly when rain starts
check the windshield wipers and washers for proper function
check that wiper fluid level and wiper is working or not when we start wiper
check that wiper speed is working accordignly to the lever indications

CTEST SCENARIO- verify the climate control system of car:

TEST CASES:-
check that car has air conditioner and heater
check that car climate control buttons responsive or not
check that the air conditioning and heating systems are working properly
check that car air conditioner has auto option and its working or not
check front climate control has option of divert air to (windshild ,upper
airflow ,upper and lower air flow and lower, external air intake,recirculation)
Check that the manual fan and temperature controls are responsive
check air wents are are not blocked
check air wents are available in back row of the car or not
check the climate control buttons are available in rear seats or not
check all air wents are rotatable or not

TEST SCENARIO- verify the Fuel and engine performance:

TEST CASES:-
check fuel type of car (diesel,petrol,CNG)
Check that engin has how much CC , HP and torque and performs accordig to it
Check that car should not start or run on wrong fuel
Check that how long car run in one liter fuel
Check that how far car can run contionusly in kilometers
Check the milege of car on high RPM
Check the milege of car in low RPM
check the milege of car in city conditions
check the milege of car in highways
Check the fuel gauge and ensure that it is accurate showing on dashboard intrument

check the engine temperature and oil pressure gauges during a long run

TEST SCENARIO- verify Safety features of car:

TEST CASES:-
check the seat belts and ensure they are functioning properly
Check the airbags, confirm that they deploy in event of a crash
check the parking assist sensors and rearview camera
Check if anti-theft alarm is working correctly or not
Check if centre locking is present or not and is functional if present
Check the automatic car lock functionality
check car should get lock autometicaly affter a minute when we park a car and when
we forget to lock
check car should not lock if door or window is open
check car should give alert alarm when car is locked,unlocked or unable to lock.
check car has electronic stability control or not
check car has tyre pressure monitoring system and its working or not

TEST SCENARIO- verify the Electrical , entertainment and sound systems of car:
TEST CASES:-
Check the car battery, ensure that it is fully charged
check car battery is charging normally when we are driving car
check after long time car should start normally and battery should not worn out
check all the charging ports of car is working or not
check car has music system and its working or not
check how long car battery can survive if car is off and mediaplayer is ruuning.
check all the speakers are working or not
check all power windows button working or not
check car door lock unlock buttons working
