The researchers chose to do this project to gain experience on how the payroll
functions and the process behind it. The researchers did this project for their
client, Mr. Jimbert G. Caballero, because he has a problem with the function of
their system. The researchers also created this system to fulfill the requirements
for the research subject for Grade 12 students. The researchers had meetings to
gather ideas for their system. The researchers also talked about the questions that
will be included in the client interview. The researchers also brainstormed
regarding the design of their system and also obtained the opinion of their client.
The payroll system they developed would manage the record of employee’s data,
including their timesheets, taxes, wages, and basic pay. Only the admin or client
can use the system. The system that they develop can also calculate the amount of
time they worked on, their hourly wages or salaries, and their leave days. The
system can print payslips, where information such as salary and deduction was
included. The design of their system is all about the company of their client
because the client’s opinion was used by the researchers in designing the system.
The system worked well, and the researchers also added some new features,
including the formula for computing the salaries of the system. The system works
well and the client did not face any error for the system testing. After the system is
made, the client suggested some updates for the features. The client said that the
system was only 90% done because he has some features that he wants to be
added to the system. The client said that “control is functioning well, and the
system is easy to use.” It can cause less chance of errors in calculating, deducting,
and updating the salaries of the employees. The new system created by the
researchers reduced the errors compared with the old system. The system created
by the researchers is easy to use and secured. Only the admin can add the
employee and see the records of the employee. The researchers are still working
on their new features for the system. They are also communicating with their client
to get his opinion on the features that they will add.

Payroll is a critical operation for every organization to pay employee accurately their
salary and enrollments on time.[1] The idea of taking control of employees pay
calculations are quite tedious if done manually and require more effort and time mainly
for big organizations. Hence if this process is automated, it would be of great benefit as
it would require less time to calculate the salary of the employees. The software for
payroll management system service on the cloud is provided as a solution in this paper.
[2] This system provides multiple user data access. Each user like employee or HR or
admin can login into the software by writing username and password which are
allocated to them from the company. It involves keeping track of hours worked and is
capable of keeping a record of employee data including their pay, allowances,
deductions and taxes on monthly bases so that fresh definitions are reflected from the
month onwards, which leaves all the past data intact.[3] The proposed payroll system is
advantageous as it provides a user friendly environment and also increases security
and minimizes human calculation errors.
