Homework assignments: Homework assignments will be handed out roughly
every week and must be turned in before class on the due date. No late
submissions will be accepted. For exceptional circumstances, please
contact the instructor in advance, rather than later. Not all assignments may be
graded. However, all submitted assignments will be given credit. Some numerical
exercises will require programming. Suggested software:
MATLAB/SCILAB./PYTHON/AMPL. There may be a substantial project in
addition.
Attendance: Attendance is compulsory.
Zero tolerance for dishonest practices. All submitted assignments should be
the students’ own work. All students involved (both “originator” and “recipient”)
will be punished. Students found indulging in dishonest practices in exams will
be punished.
