Chapter 9

This document provides a daily lesson plan for a mathematics class on solving triangles using the sine rule. The lesson plan aims to teach students to: 1) define the sine rule and make conjectures about relationships between triangle sides and opposite angles; 2) solve triangles using the sine rule when given two angles and a side or two sides and a non-included angle; and 3) determine ambiguous triangle cases and solve related problems. The plan outlines learning objectives, teaching methods such as explanation with examples, assigned exercises, and assessment of student understanding.

LEARNING STANDARD 9.1.1 Make and verify conjectures on the relationship between the ratios of length of sides
of a triangle with the sine of the opposite angles, and hence define the sine rule.
9.1.2 Solve triangles involving sine rule.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE/ By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to successfully:
SUCCESS CRITERIA  Make and verify conjectures on the relationship between the ratios of length of sides of a
triangle with the sine of the opposite angles, and hence define the sine rule.
 Solve triangles involving sine rule.
