FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Intern FAQ:
12. How does the student benefit with an unpaid internship (or) Is it worth Doing?
Yes Definitely,
II) Statistically speaking, if you don’t take on an internship, you’re already behind.
Years ago, a college education was typically reserved for the more privileged young adults. Nowadays, with the huge
number of scholarships available and with the ability most people have to take out student loans, a much larger number of
people continue their education past high school. With such a large pool of applicants who are just as well educated if not
even more so than you, are it’s important to do everything you can to get ahead.
III) It can help you figure out what you want to do after your graduation.
An estimated 20-to-50 percent of college students are undecided, and about 75 percent change their majors at least once
during their college careers.
These changes can be costly because they can set you back and require extra semesters/years in order to complete your
degree once you finally decide what you want to do. Taking an internship can give you the opportunity to get real,hands-on
experience in the type of career you think you want to pursue.
From there, you’ll have a much better idea of whether or not it’s something you’re truly interested in.
