Crimes Against Persons – Violent Crime
15.7% Decrease Compared to Last Year

• Decrease in violent crime compared to last year can


be attributed to significant decrease in assault offenses
• Most violent crime, particularly homicides and assaults,
can be attributed to high-risk behavior to include drug
and gang activity and personal disputes among
acquaintances
• The risk of victimization remains low for the average
resident and San Antonio remains a safe city
