Conceptual Framework

The document presents the conceptual framework of a study that aims to design, test, and compare different breakwater installations in coastal areas in Sobol San Fabian Pangasinan to reduce wave impacts and promote marine sustainability. The researcher will test breakwater prototypes, analyze collected data, and compare results to create a reliable design that minimally impacts coral reefs. The conceptual paradigm involves installing breakwaters, testing scaled models, analyzing test data, and comparing outcomes to develop an effective design.

Conceptual Framework

The major concern of this study is to design, test, and compare the effectively use of Installing
Breakwater in coastal areas in Sobol San Fabian Pangasinan to help reduce wave impacts and help
marine sustainability. The researcher expects the innovation for its workability and its capability of
lessening the interruptions and harmful effects caused by wave. The proposed design of the breakwater
may apply as a permanent solution to reduce ocean waves and help in maintaining marine diversity that
is minimally invasive to coral reefs.

Figure 1: Conceptual Paradigm of the Study

Figure 1: Illustrates the researchers’ conceptual paradigm. The Input of the thesis study is the
Installation of Breakwater to the coastal areas and a working scaled prototype of the existing
breakwater. The process for the thesis study is followed by testing the prototype, recording the data
upon testing the prototype, Analysis of the data gathered, costing of the materials, comparing the
result, and the documentation of the findings. The study employed a comparative experimental
research design to create a viable solution of destructive wave in Sobol, San Fabian . The expected
output of the thesis study is a reliable and working design of a breakwater in coastal areas help reduce
wave impacts and help marine sustainability.
