COURSE POLICIES

A. During the first meeting, the professor must distribute and discuss the syllabus.
B. The academic year is divided into two (2) semesters with eighteen (18) weeks each, including final examination period but exclusive of registration period.
Each semester is divided into two periods consisting of 27 hours of synchronous meetings and 27 hours of asynchronous activities/tasks. The following schedule
will be observed:

MODALITY DAY TIME NO. OF HOURS ACTIVITIES

Asynchronous MW 12:30-2:00pm 3 Interactive discussion, demonstration, problem solving, giving advanced
assignments, academic consultations, monitoring, feed backing, etc.
Asynchronous F 8:00-11:00pm 3 Interactive discussion, demonstration, problem solving, feed backing, hands-on
laboratory activities, etc.

C. Major examinations are administered every third week of each grading period with the following schedule:
C.1 MW Classes – every Wednesday
C.2 TTH Classes – every Thursday
C.3 Saturday Classes – every last hour of each class
Students are expected to settle their monthly obligations every 5th day of the month through BDO or LCBA Cash Department.
D. Class attendance and participation are closely monitored and will be recorded. Attendance sheets are submitted to the Program Heads at the end of the
semester.
E. Late enrollees are marked absent for the day(s) missed. They are required to comply with any missed activities.
F. A student is considered enrolled only if his/her name appears on the official class list provided by the Registrar’s office. Therefore, they are not allowed to
attend any classes.
G. Students who incur more than the allowed number of absences are given a failing grade in the subject tantamount to FA (Failure due to Absences) unless
otherwise recommended by the Guidance Counsellor and approved by the Program Heads and College Dean.
H. A student is considered late or tardy if he/she enters a 3-hour class within the first 30 minutes after the official time. After the given time allowance, they are
considered absent.
