Narrative Report PRIMALS PLUS
The virtual Division Training of LAC Facilitators for Primals Plus was
successfully conducted via Google Meet on December 8-10 and December 16-17,
2022. This activity aims to:
a. Integrating ICT and pedagogical strategies for the 21st century skills
development;
b. Employing differentiated instruction and developmentally appropriate
strategies for inclusive learning; and
c. Utilizing formative assessment strategies and metacognitive
interventions for different learning delivery modalities.
Day 1- December 8, 2022
Link of Attendance Sheet was sent to the Group Chat at exactly 7:00 AM with
58 registered participants. The short opening program begun by a prayer and singing of
the Philippine National Anthem via multimedia presentation. A welcome remark was
given by Dr. Lope C. Papeleras, Chief ES-CID. Mrs. Edeliza F. Seguis, EPS I-SHS/TLE
gave the statement of purpose and Dr. Roxanne Mae G. Daz acknowledged the
participants and reading of the Training House Rules was viewed via multimedia
presentations. A community dancing was presented and a photo session with the
participants was done before the Session 1 started.
Mr. Ignacio sent the link for Pre-test form to be answered by all participants.
Session 1 was started at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning by Miss Jeasel H. Pedros,
SHST-II of PJEMNHS with the Animating, Not Just Facilitating, Learning Experiences.
She discussed that animation is a reliable tool for teaching and learning process.
Animation brings life to inanimate objects; it concretizes learning and makes teaching –
learning process fun. These will significantly enhance the students’ performance rate. A
reduction in the failure rate will also mean a reduction in all other related problems
such as the high dropout rate.
Mrs. Helen B. Veloso discuss the Designing Meaningful Learning Experiences to
Help Students Reach Mastery. She discussed making learning meaningful is important
to children's understanding of the learning concepts and the world around them.
Teachers make learning meaningful when they, link new learning to children's previous
experience, relate concepts to children's lives and provide children with hands-on
learning. The morning session ended at 12:05PM with everyone having a more vivid
understanding of their respective assigned task.
The afternoon session started with a community dancing. Mrs. Leizel C.
Virtudazo, MT I of Cagdianao NHS discussed the Managing Intervention/ Remediation
Strategies for Distance Learning. She stated that be simple: When it comes to remote
learning, simplicity is often key. The goal should be for all instruction to be as easy to
access as possible for both the students and the teacher. Tasks can be technologically
simple to complete but still require depth of knowledge.
Day 2- December 9, 2022
Session 4 started at exactly 8:30AM. Mr. Norman C. Ignacio, Jr., T-II of San
Jose NHS discussed the Integrating Differentiated Instruction in Inclusive Classrooms.
As specified, differentiating instruction is not only going to help your special education
students fully participate, it will also enrich and improve the experience of the general
education students.
Mr. Neil Adones B. Masumbol, SHSTII of Albor NHS discussed the Fostering
Developmentally Appropriate Strategies to Attain Learning Standards. This strategy
helps children learn best when adults recognize their individual needs and interests.
Children are encouraged to explore what excites their curiosity. Like adults, children
participate actively in activities that are interesting to them and inviting.
Developmentally appropriate strategies are a way of teaching that meets young
children where they are — which means that teachers must get to know them well —
and enables them to reach goals that are both challenging and achievable.
The afternoon session started with a community dancing. Dr. Evageline B.
Labadora, MT I of Tag-abaca NHS discussed Establishing Learner Agency to Instill
Choice and Autonomy. She stated that having choices allows children through young
adults feel empowered that they have control or ownership over their own learning.
This, in turn, helps them develop a sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
