(ii) Water is pouring into a cuboidal reservoir at the rate of 60 litres per minute. If the
volume of reservoir is 108 m3, find the number of hours it will take to fill the reservoir.

(ii) If a box of sweets is divided among 24 children, they’ll get 5 sweets each. How many
would each get, if the number of children is reduced by 4?
(iii) A batch of bottles were packed in 25 boxes with 12 bottles in each box. If the same
batch is packed using 20 bottles in each box, how many boxes would be filled?

Q22. Three women, Rita, Tara and Sneha owned a plot each in their village. Rita and Tara
owned square pieces of plot and Sneha a rectangular one. Rita observed these while
farming that Tara’s plot was 5 m longer than her. And, Sneha’s plot was 3m longer on one
side and 2m longer on the other side as compared to her plot.
(i) Find the area of three plots in terms of algebraic expressions.
(ii) If the area of Rita’s plot is 400 sq m, then calculate the land areas of Tara and Sneha.
(iii) Find the sides of the three plots.
(iv) Find the perimeters of the three plots in terms of algebraic expressions.
