Creating Linux Virtual Machine

Install the VirtualBox software and download an ISO file for a Linux distribution like Ubuntu. Create a new virtual machine in VirtualBox, allocating memory, storage, and disk space. In the settings, add the ISO file as an optical drive. Start the virtual machine to begin installing Ubuntu, entering your language and personal details. Once installed, you can run the virtual machine by starting it in VirtualBox.

Creating Linux Virtual Machine

1. Install the virtual box software from https://www.virtualbox.org/


2. Install the ISO file for the linux distribution you want to use(Ubuntu for example)

3. Now Open the VirtualBox and click on the [new] button

4. Now give it a name and next


5. Now allocate enough memory and processing storage to your virtual machine and click next

6. Now give it some space of your hard disk storage

7. Click Finish
8. Now select the virtual machine that you just created and click on [Settings] button

9. In the settings, go to the storage settings. In the Controller IDE Choose the [Adds optical drive]
button
10. Click the [Add Disk Image File] button then Choose the iso file you downloaded in step 2
11. Now save the settings and close the settings tab and select your virtual machine and click start

12. This screen will show up, click [Install Ubuntu]


13. Choose your system language
14. Press next on these two windows
15. Write your personal data here

16. Click [Install Now]


17. Now you are all done, just login with the data entered in step 15

18. Now you can use it whenever you want by clicking on this machine and click the [start] button
in the virtualbox software
