Street Dance Mechanics and Critirea

Mechanics
1. Each team must consist of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 11 participants.
2. The duration of the should not less than 3 minutes and not more than 5 minutes
3. The dance style must be street dance, which may include hip-hop, breaking, popping,
locking, waacking, and other related styles.
4. No vulgraity, obscenity, and explicit content are allowed.
5. Each group is allowed to used props and other appropriate amterials in their danceexcept
the fire, bottle or any breakable items.
6. The competition music must not contain inappropriate level or any offensive language.
7. Participation in this competition indicates the acceptance of such risk by the participants.
A waiver will be provided to all participants, and each participant must sign it before they
can participate in the competition. The waiver acknowledges the risks involved in the
competition and releases the organizers from any liability for injuries, loss, or damages
that may occur during the competition.
8. Any violation of the above rules and mechanics of the competition will lead to . One (1)
point deduction from each judge's score sheets.

Teams will be judged based on the following criteria:


Criteria
• Choreography (40%) - the creativity, originality, and overall quality of the dance routine.
• Execution (30%) - the precision, timing, and synchronicity of the team's movements.
• Musicality (20%) - the ability to interpret and express the music through movement.
• Costume (10%) - the visual impact and appropriateness of the team's attire.

Please take note that the final blockings of your dance routines will be held at the MSU

Convention Center one day before the final competition, in the morning. This is your chance to

make any final adjustments and polish your performance. During the final blockings, you will

have the opportunity to rehearse on the competition stage and work with the lighting and sound

crew to ensure a smooth performance. It's also important to note that the music you will be using
for your routine will be passed on to the sound crew during the blockings.
