Introduction

According to Eliademy (2020), a web-based classroom is indeed one of the best possible alternative tools

and a good avenue for teaching and learning by which teachers and learners can continue their lessons even in times

of pandemic. This was evident by the lived experiences of the respondents. The study found that Eliademy was

accessible, could promote time management, promptness, and a challenge for the users. However, it requires strong

internet connections and time pressure. In addition to this, getting started with Eliademy is simple. Teachers may

follow these three steps: "Signing in", "Designing it," and "Managing out". The first step requires social media

accounts. The second step is about designing the classroom, which includes uploading of discussions, tasks,

assignments, and assessments. The third and last point sustains the quality of such classrooms. Moreover, there are

other web-based classrooms wherein teachers and learners can interact, besides Eliademy. Teachers may choose

other tools depending on the needs of the learners because these platforms have their own specialties. " According to

(Claude Muller, 2021), higher education institutions strive to offer greater flexibility and individualization, which is

mostly achieved through the use of cutting-edge technologies and integrated into online or blended learning

approaches. Based on (Maureen Sow and Andrade, 2019), flexible learning expands access to higher education,

especially for students who have historically fallen through the cracks. According to Xicha Li (2022), higher

education students are calling for more flexible learning that goes beyond the on-campus/online dichotomy due to

the challenges of holistic development.

According to UNESCO (2021), the most marginalized children and communities. Each country needs to

plan to offer every child access to quality and relevant non-family-based childcare and ECE. Considerations such as

language, timing and location of lessons, and provision of facilitators and teachers need to be taken into account,

especially in most marginalized communities. Community-based provision that responds to the income-generating

activities of communities, such as market- or plantation-based provision, can improve participation and provide a

cost-effective model to enhance supply of provision quickly. Decisions around the ECE workforce will need to be

made in the short-to-medium-term and longer-term to be able to meet the needs of large numbers of uncatered

young children and still provide high-quality stimulation and care. Although the longer-term aim may be to ensure

equivalence of working conditions and minimum requirements for ECE teachers with other professionals working

with children, in the short-term, volunteer or mother-led facilitation can also be effective. In this, they prioritize
WASH facilities for ECE centers to enable continuity of safe learning within school, especially in the most

marginalized communities. COVID-19 has shown that remote learning does not work for ECE children. Therefore,

ECE centres should be opened as quickly as possible when similar situations occur in the future, providing evidence

against which to advocate for additional funding and to allocate available resources Prioritize and increase funding

for the education sector. Despite weak economic growth predictions, it is essential that countries look for additional

education funding both internally (through increasing domestic revenues and reallocation of budgets) and externally

through deficit financing and international donor funding. Target funding so that it reaches the most marginalized

children. Funding should be spent on addressing the needs of specific categories of children who are being left

behind in learning poverty. For example, children with disabilities need to be supported with assistive devices,

specialized training for their teachers and accessible materials. Children who speak minority languages need to be

able to access materials in their language, and teachers need to know how to teach using these languages. Review

education expenditure and make it more efficient. A review of education spending to identify inefficiencies such as

duplicated activities or weak procurement systems that result in higher unit costs could help to save much-needed

resources.

Based on a 2021 study (Statista Research Department, 2021). Thirty percent of Filipino respondents believe

the current remote learning paradigm is only 20 to 50 percent effective. However, 14% of respondents said that the

effectiveness of this learning paradigm ranged from 80% to 100%. In the Philippines, remote learning has been

established to stop the coronavirus from spreading (COVID-19). The benefits of online classes in the Philippines are

that students can contact their families more frequently and spend more time with them because they don't have to

leave the house or worry about catching a virus or getting sick, making it the safest option to study at the moment.

With this arrangement, flexibility is provided as students may study whenever they choose and teachers can instruct

from the comfort of their own homes without worrying about how to get to school or what to wear. According to Dr.

Robert Joan (2013), many students are enrolling in online courses, which encourages full use of technology. It is a

setting for learning that gives parents, teachers, and students access to both wired and wireless networks. According

to Gemma Joseph (2022), with online learning, both the teacher and the student may choose their own speed for

learning, and there's also the extra flexibility of creating a schedule that works for everyone. There is no need to give

anything up because adopting an online educational platform enables a better mix between work and study.
According to Hurlbut (2018), early forms of online or remote learning needed access to printed materials that were

delivered or emailed to students, teachers, or both. Christopher DC. Francisco1 and Marites C. Barcelona (20200) In

terms of providing high-quality instructions, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and other Asian nations have

already made technical advancements. Web-based learning is a method of education that uses the Internet as a

means of delivering teaching and carrying out various learning tasks. Depending on the needs and requirements of

the curriculum, it can take the form of either pure online learning, where the curriculum and learning are

implemented online without the instructor and students meeting in person, or a hybrid, where the instructor meets

with the student’s half of the time online and half in the classroom. Web-based learning can be added as a

supplement to existing curricula or incorporated into one that becomes a full course. (Bernard Fentim Darkwa,

Samuel Antwi, 2021) Both teachers and students are unfamiliar with the online learning method. Again, given the

current digital environment and the fact that the majority of the upcoming generation will be millennials/Generation

Y, the research is ready for critical investigation, purposeful acceptance, and implementation of online learning by

the relevant education stakeholders. (Born in the years 1981 to 1996) Generation Z (those born between 1996 and

2010), who are becoming more tech-savvy, will undoubtedly alter the competitive landscape of education in favor of

online teachers. Because of this, a teacher is there at all times to interact with students in online learning, grade their

participation in class activities, and provide general guidance. According to (Knowly, 2020), students can study

anywhere. Students can study a new course using their own devices, anywhere, so they don't need to arrange a lot of

time for it (such as commuting, chatting with peers, etc.). So, there is no time lost in travel. Online learning is the

best option if both the students and you, the trainer or teacher, are time-constrained due to busy schedules. Online

classes can be more effective because most of us today spend more time using our phones and surfing the internet.

We have easy access to the internet if we have questions or confusion. For example, if you are having a hard time

understanding math, you can watch the math topic on YouTube or search for it on Google or other searching engine.

Many of us know how gadgets work and how to use social media platforms.

As a web-based classroom is one of the best alternative tools and a good avenue for teaching and learning,

teachers and students can continue their lessons even during pandemics. This was evident by the lived experiences

of the respondents. The study found out that Eliademy was accessible, could promote time management,

current remote learning paradigm. Nevertheless, 14% of respondents reported the 80–100% effectiveness of this

learning paradigm. Within the Philippines, to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus, remote learning has been

devised (COVID-19). Its advantages the benefits of online education in the Philippines include increased

opportunities for family communication Invest more time in them because they don't need to leave the house or be

concerned about getting sick Currently, studying is the safest approach to avoid getting sick. Flexibility is possible

with this arrangement. As long as teachers are available, students can study whenever they choose. Online education

is a solution that can get around this issue. The goal of this study is to obtain a reflection on how online media are

used to execute online education in order to lessen the COVID-19 outbreak. During a pandemic, the online classes

are super effective because we can interact with our teachers and listen to their discussions, whereas with modular

learning, you need to do self-study and understand the whole module by yourself. We were able to adjust

immediately to the online class because we are already familiar with the use of gadgets and the use of different

social media. The purpose of this research is for us to know how the online class for flexible learning has been
effective and how we study during a pandemic. How can this research help the next researcher? They will have an

idea of how the online class was effective during the pandemic and what the benefits of it were to the students

during the pandemic. The potential advantages of investing in online education include increased accessibility,

enhanced educational quality, better preparing students for a knowledge-based society, the opportunity for "lifelong"

learning, and financial gain, among many more. Limitations are also clear in this well-liked learning setting.

Theoretical Framework of the Study

Of the topics of effectiveness of online classes for flexible learning, the most related is Online Collaborative

Learning Theory. According to Lehtinen et al. (2007), online collaborative learning (OCL) means using information

and communication technology, particularly the Internet, as the mediating instrument. Participants learn

collaboratively in teams. This study is anchored on theory as it relates to why we use applications to create a virtual

classroom and learn together. Collaborative learning is important in online learning because students do better when

collaborative activities are included in their online coursework. Collaborative group interactions foster social

contact, active learning, shared knowledge, and a welcoming e-learning community. The inclusion of collaborative

activities in an e-learning environment results in improved student performance. Collaborative group interactions

foster social connection and a supportive e-learning community, as well as active learning and sharing of

information. The connection between the effectiveness of online classes for flexible learning and online

collaborative learning is that they both use online communication technology to learn together, and the teacher can

discuss their topic using online communication tools like G-meet and other online communication applications. The

researchers determined three factors that affect the effectiveness of online collaborative learning: learning

interaction, learning design, and learning environment. According to (Naimah Sunani Hanum, 2022), the classroom

activity needs interaction. It facilitates the teaching and learning process and can improve learners' communication

abilities. It describes how students interact with one another and with the teacher, as well as with the entire class.

The use of learning design, according to (University of San Diego, 2022), is It is guided by the learner and their

learning styles, as well as some instructional design philosophies. To summarize, learning design blends

instructional design with design thinking to create a more human-centered and creative approach to building

learning solutions. According to Ambrose (2010), your classroom environment is a synthesis of your class's social,
emotional, and educational components. According to research, several components of your classroom environment

can influence student motivation, and motivated students put more effort into learning activities.

"Similarities" According to Ramil Arciosa (2022), they use online classes as an alternative way to study and teach

during a pandemic, especially during lockdown when people are not allowed to go outside. During the pandemic,

the online class was effective because we could interact with our teacher and classmates, whereas in the modular

class, we couldn't interact or ask the teacher questions if we were confused about a topic. The implementation of the

new program showcases a face-to-face and modular mode of learning program that will serve as a solution to

different issues and impact on students’ ways of learning because, as a teacher and faculty member, I believe that

education needs a hands-on or face-to-face interaction between teacher and student to fully understand and execute

such development and practices due to differences in learning design, interaction, environment, and curriculum that

a student must need for their personal growth as a person. I also acknowledge the fact that catching students' interest

in studying is quite hard, especially when having online classes or just having modules in which we must nourish

students or guide them into a hands-on method to further explain and elaborate on the learning that they have on

their modules. Having a face-to-face and modular mode of learning is one of the most important programs

implemented in this new normal because it helps students learn more without worrying about their behavior and

attitude towards learning. As a teacher, we are here to guide and provide a positive learning experience for our

students, eliminating their boredom and lack of interest in learning caused by modular and online classes. This

program will help parents to secure their children’s interests in learning and help them to lessen their worries and

burdens caused by having online classes. As a teacher and second guardian of your children, we are here to provide

the best learning program that is suitable for your children for their future growth and development that will

contribute to our future generation. Student mental health in higher education has been an increasing concern. The

COVID-19 pandemic situation has brought this vulnerable population into renewed focus. Multiple stressors were

identified that contributed to the increased levels of stress, anxiety, and depressive thoughts among students. The

teaching approach has a significant influence on the teaching-learning process for both teachers and students. Thus,

the students’ learning depends on the school’s application of the most effective and attainable teaching approach,

especially in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The difficulties encountered among stakeholders due to an
alternative learning delivery-modular distance learning-being used to facilitate and continue to serve the good

education in different schools in our country with the implementation of the new normal education

The estimated effect size (Hedge’s g) was positive, although not significantly different from zero and the confidence

interval (-0.13,0.25), suggesting that overall differences between amalgamated and conventional classroom literacy

are small, and, at best, veritably small negative or moderate positive effects are presumptive. This means that despite

a reduction in classroom time of between 30 and 79 per cent, original literacy issues were set up. Accordingly,

amalgamated literacy with reduced classroom time isn't totally more or less effective than conventional classroom

learning. The impact of replacing classroom time with an online learning environment the role of eliademy as a web-

based classroom in designing an alternative learning tool in times of emergency We discovered that in times of

disaster, educators and other institutions may consider using eliademy to avoid disrupting classes or even a regular

routine. Doing this may promote schools’ learning management systems (LMS), which is required by the different

accrediting agencies (e.g. PAASCU, PACUCOA, ISO). We found that the estimated effect size (Hedge's g) was

positive, although not significantly different from zero and the confidence interval [-0.13, 0.25], suggesting that

overall differences between blended and conventional classroom learning are small, and, at best, very small negative

or moderate positive effects are plausible. This means that despite a reduction in classroom time of between 30 and

79 per cent, equivalent learning outcomes were found. Consequently, blended learning with reduced classroom time

is not systematically more or less effective than conventional classroom learning. The difference between flexible

learning and its effectiveness in teaching college subjects amidst the COVID-19 pandemic Because it takes a lot of

time to do the module, and the student’s knowledge increases because they take an online class, unlike flexible

learning and its effectiveness in teaching college subjects amidst COVID-19, they use the module to keep them from

learning from the pandemic. There are slow learners who are searching on Google and YouTube just to understand

their topic in the module. "Education helps us build the foundation for our future and helps each of us to educate and

gather knowledge and improve the skills we need for our future." This quote shows the importance of education in

developing ourselves to be productive and good individuals for our society, but in our current situation, we are faced

with a pandemic that is affecting the way we learn, where students learn from home and have limited interaction

with their fellow students and teacher, which has a huge impact on the student's behavior, mental health, and interest

in their lesson. Aside from that, there is limited interaction between both students and their teacher, which causes
poor communication and results in a loss of student interest and concentration in their online classes Being in an

isolated area where a student is studying also affects their mental and emotional situation, so they often lose their

concentration. Almost 20% of students say their mental health has worsened, and three out of ten students say they

are already experiencing emotional or mental health issues because of social distancing and closures. The effect of

this pandemic on students causes different mental problems, including stress, cyberbullying, and depression, which

results in a greater conflict and lack of interest in having a distance learning program. The effect of postponing the

face-to-face class and continuously having a distance learning program also has an impact on the students, especially

on their interest and perception of having face-to-face communication.
