5) FIX THE DIAL IN THE DIAL STAND AND KEEP ON THE SURFACE TABLE

6) BUILD VARIOUS SLIPS AND PLACE UNDER THE DIAL PLUNGER ON SURFACE TABLE

PURPOSE : TO SET THE REQUIRED SIZE.

MASTER INSTRUMENT : AIR PLUG & RING

INSTRUCTION :

1) ENSURE PROPER CLEANING OF AIR RING AND SETTING MASTER.

2) INSERT THE LOW SETTING MASTER IN TO THE AIR RING GAUGE.

3) NOW USING THE ZERO CONTROL KNOB, SET THE READ OUT UNIT TO THE SET VALUE OF THE

LOW SETTING MASTER.

4) REPLACE THE LOW SETTING MASTER BY HIGH.THE READ OUT WILL DISPLAY THE SET VALUE

OF THE HIGH MASTER.

4) IF THE READ OUT UNIT DOES NOT SHOW THE CORRECT SPREAD, THEN ADJUST THE SAME

USING MAGNIFICATION KNOB ON THE AECM BY HALF OF THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE

REQUIRED SPREAD AND REMAINING HALF WITH THE HELP OF ZERO CONTROL KNOB.

5) NOW THE SYSTEM IS READY FOR MEASURING THE COMPONENTS.

6) COMPONENT READING SHOULD BE FROM 10.025 TO 10.035MM

Note : 1. Four Arms OD to be checked 100% using Air Gauge.


2. Width Gauge to be checked 100%
3. Any Rework or Rejection to be kept seperately
4. Only OK components are to be oiled & Packed

2) BEFORE SETTING ENSURE BOTH AIR FLOW VALVES ARE FULLY OPENED.

3) PLACE HIGH OR LOW RING AND ADJUST DIAL GUAGE BY LOOSENING CLAMP KNOB TO READ

SET VALUE THEN CHECK OTHER RING FOR SET VALUE.

4) IN CASE THE SET VALUE IS LESS, THEN ADJUST RH SIDE FLOW VALVE CLOCKWISE 3 TO 4

TIMES OF THE ERROR TO INCREASE MAGNIFICATION AND RESET DIAL.

5) IN CASE THE SET VALUE IS MORE, THEN ADJUST LH SIDE FLOW VALVE CLOCKWISE 3 TO 4

TIMES OF THE ERROR AND RESET DIAL.

6) DONOT USE BOTH THE FLOW VALVES,SIMULTANEOUSLY.

PURPOSE : TO PROVIDE THE METHO OF CALIBRATION OF THREAD PLUG GAUGE (M8 X 1.25)

MASTER INSTRUMENT : (0 - 25)DIGITAL MICROMETER 0.725 DIA WIRES 3 NOS

INSTRUCTION :

1) CHECK FOR VALID STATUS OF CALIBRATION OF MASTER INSTRUMENT.

2) CLEAN THE THREAD PLUG GAUGE WITH SOFT CLOTH TO REMOVE DUST AND OIL.

3) KEEP ONE WIRE BETWEEN THE THREAD FLANK AT ONE SIDE AND KEEP OTHER 2 WIRES IN THE
ADJACENT FLANKS OF THREAD AT THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE THREAD FLANKS.

4) MEASURE THE SIZE OVER PINS WITH THE MICROMETER.

5) WITH THE MEASURED SIZE,CALCULATE THE PITCH DIA AND RECORD.

6) ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA : AS SPECIFIED IN THE HISTORY CARD.(WEAR LIMIT)

7) DUE MONTH COLOUR CODE IS APPLIED IF THE GAUGE IS OK.

8) RECORD : CALIBRATION HISTORY CARD.
