After the orientation I was asked by sir Umali to stay in the zoom meeting for him to iterate
all task that I have to do for him which includes thesis coordination, thesis forms and
documents creation, Possible proctoring of exams under his other subjects, managing the
respective thesis group chats and other subjects he is handling, and other tasks that he will
chat for me to do when he is handling other matters. After the zoom meeting I was instructed
to add the following students in the thesis group chat, he gave me his class list for the newly
enrolled thesis students at this term. After adding all the students in the Group chat, I then
made an excel for the class list to be able to mark the students individually for future tasks
that I will handle.
Through these tasks for my first day, I was able to understand the responsibilities that I have
and will do in the following weeks for Sir Umali. I am not highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel,
so I studied its formulas and inputs for me to be able to do some of the tasks assigned to me
efficiently.

Date: August 30, For this day I was tasks to update the thesis group chat and addressing some of the student
2022 concerns. Mostly some students were asking if even those who have continuing status on their
Time In: 8am thesis were allowed to join the thesis group chat. I proceeded to ask Sir Umali if this is allowed,
Time Out: 5pm and he said yes so, I announced in the group chat to message me if they wanted to add some

of their groupmates. At the same time, I was then tasks to make a form for the MME groups
Certified Correct that were formed. Before sharing it to the group chats, I proceeded to consult Sir Umali if the
by: form I made was good to be distributed. As I was waiting for Sir Umali’s input, I proceeded to
Edward B.O. Ang address some student concerns through either personal chat or in the group chats in teams.

After receiving Sir Umali’s input in the forms, I then proceeded to disseminate the forms the
group chats. While waiting for the responses I was tasked by Sir Umali to add the students in
another group chat under his subject MEC31-2 E01. After I have received some responses in
the forms, I then made a separate excel tab to record and categorize the groups that were
formed. The form made consists of the following information, the students’ names, the
students’ ID number, what thesis they are currently enrolled or continuing in, and their
current and preferred advisor.

While recording the responses I addressed some student concerns about those groups who
have only 2 or 3 members, I then proceeded to ask Sir Umali as to how we should handle this
and he answered to allow those who have 2-3 members of groupings to also answer the forms
and leave the other slots as N/A. I was able to do these tasks successfully while consulting Sir
Umali, I made sure to ask his opinion first to avoid mistakes that may result in the coming
weeks.

Date: August 31, For this day while still collecting the responses for the MME groupings I continued finishing
2022 the S2S academy module for the required certificate submission. This S2S module in my
Time In: 8am opinion is highly recommended for those who have intention for finding jobs in all fields. This

Professor Ricky D. module prepares us students in tackling the real world when we graduate.
Umali

This module not only improves our writing and communication skill, but also develop our work
ethic, real world knowledge, and also our emotionnal intelligence. This module felt highly
caught my attention and interest as this module gave real life situations that required me to
answer with the appropriate response to finish, so as I was answering this module, it felt more
of as if I’m being in the person’s shoes in the interactive module. Each questions and answer
required deliberation and good analytical skills which I myself believed to hav develop through
these modules.
The characters in the module came as authentic and it was as if I was not answering a module
but more on playing a role-playing game in the module and through that every sentence and
approach that was given were memorize and deliberated by me. Anytime I was given a chose
I would always imagine if I was in that situation. This method of answering a module is an
effective form of training/ teaching for us students and I appreciate our OJT course for giving
us to this module. I would highly recommend this type of modules to be answered by students
on all levels to help not only them the students, but also our professors / teachers in making
sure we students stay motivated and interested in their subjects.

For this day I was continuing recording and transferring the responses for the MME thesis
Date: September groups in my excel file. As some groups were still not answering the forms I then made an
1, 2022 announcement to for them requesting to answer the MME Grouping forms. I was then
Time In: 8am informed by Sir Umali to also take into consideration the former group chat (Thesis GC I)

handled by the previous OJT Trainee under him. While continuing transferring the responses

to excel, I was then instructed to announce regarding the forms to be submitted by those
Certified Correct newly formed groups from Thesis I.

Form 0(Approval Form for Undergraduate Thesis Topic) is required for those newly formed
group as its functions as their approval for first, the core notion or ideas of the study are
summed up in the title. The research paper's substance and/or purpose should be adequately
described in as few words as feasible in the title. So, Form 0 is a must to be done and
submitted. Form A (Advisor Acceptance Form) is important because it helps the students and
their chosen adviser to have assurance for doing their respective roles in the thesis. The
acceptance form proves that the advisor is willing and confident in helping the group in doing
their thesis.

After disseminating the information as instructed, Sir Umali then instructed me to set a
schedule for a Zoom meeting. The purpose of this zoom meeting is to address other concerns
of the students that they may have not forwarded to me and to organize the students who
still have incomplete groups or still do not have a group. As I was limited in access to the some
students information like their student ID or their course as I can only view these information
through Sir Umali’s information. This wraps up my day for now though I still would continue
to record the responses until midnight for my convenience.
Date: September For this day, Sir Umali instructed me to organize the forms that were needed to be re-edited
2, 2022 in the mme thesis forms website. I then proceeded to take note of the necessary forms and
Time In: 8am forwarded it to Sir Umali for deliberation. The following forms only needed small changes like
Time Out: 5pm changing the name of the Dean and re-edting the process for the respective thesis courses but
Hour Spent: 9
I still consulted Sir Umali to avoid andy mistakes. While waiting for sir Umali’s response I
Certified Correct proceeded into transferring data from the forms I dissimenated into my excel file for easier
by: interpretation. Responses seemed to slow down so I made an announcement in the group
Edward B.O. Ang chats to answer the forms ASAP. Some student concerns were also answered by me but mostly
all those concerns are regarding missing group members and finding groups, I then instructed
them to attend Sir Umali’s zoom meeting that is set in Sunday 7:30-10:00am.

While collecting the responses and addressing some student concerns I then proceeded into
finishing the S2S module. As this module is split into ten (10) parts I did not have enough time
to complete this module in one (1) day as I have to prioritize the tasks that were assigned to
me. While continuing the module I was able to understand how to approach the interviews
that I will face in the future when I apply. Also I did not know how much care and attention
were needed in creating a resume until this module. I appreciate this module being shown to
us and would like to further answer these types of modules in the future so that I may continue
to develop my real life skills in my future career. After completing the S2S module I then
proceeded in generating the certificate and submitting it in the Black board submission link
provided and by email-ing it to our OJT Professor. No further task were given to me at this day
so I continued to monitor the responses and re-evaluate the excel I did by sending it to Sir
Umali and also checking it myself.
