Under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the U.S. Government assigns
your organization or client, as exporter/importer of record, responsibility for determining

Definitions
ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) -The ECCN is an alpha-numeric code, e.g.,
3A001, that describes a particular item or type of item, and shows the controls placed on
that item. The CCL (Commerce Control List) is divided into ten broad categories, and each
category is further subdivided into five product groups. The CCL is available on the EAR
Website.
The ECCN Number, License Type, and the CCATS Numbers for this product are included
in the table below. Also included is the date the table was last updated.

Well Seismic Fusion™ software provides interpreters the functionality to view and analyze
pre-seismic data in a Landmark integrated environment. It provides a suite of
interpretation and analysis tools for finding and evaluating prospects from pre-stack
seismic data, well data, and crossplot analysis. Well Seismic Fusion is available only on
Linux 64-bit systems.

3D Drill View KM™ (Knowledge Management) software provides a powerful means for
engineers and geoscientists to visualize, analyze, and interpret MWD, LWD, and drilling
operational data in real-time.

• Select Start > All Programs > Landmark > DecisionSpace 5000.0.1.
• Click the DecisionSpace 5000.0.1 icon on your desktop, if you created one.
• From the command line, navigate to the DecisionSpace5000.0.1 installation directory
and execute Launch.bat.
1. Select the name of the software from the Launch menu or click the name of the
software from the launcher.
The Session Parameters dialog displays. The parameters listed depend on the
selected software. The Required Parameters panel displays the District as currently
set on your system. The mandatory parameters are District, Project, Interpretation
Project, Measurement System, and Domain. The Optional Parameters panel shows
the parameters that are not mandatory. For example, Interpreter is an optional
parameter, if you launch the AssetView™ software.
2. Select all required information in the Session Parameters dialog and click OK.
The software is launched in the work area of the Desktop. The next time you launch
the software, it launches with the last session’s parameters. If the session parameters
specified in the last session are complete, you are not prompted to set additional
parameters. To change the session parameters:
Note: If you do not specify all the required session parameters, the parameters set for
the last session are used to launch the DecisionSpace® software. Otherwise, you are
prompted to enter the missing session parameters. Also, the session parameters
cannot be changed after a DecisionSpace software has been launched.
Note: To launch PowerView® software, from the command line, navigate to the
5000.0.1 installation directory and execute Launch-PowerView.bat.
• Select Start > All Programs > Landmark > DecisionSpace 5000.0.1 No
OpenWorks.
• Click the DecisionSpace 5000.0.1 No OpenWorks icon on your desktop, if you
created one.
• From the command line, navigate to the DecisionSpace5000.0.1 installation directory
and execute Launch.bat with the -noOpenWorks switch in the command line. The
command is similar to the following:

When you launch DecisionSpace software for the first time, no software appear in the
Applications section of the launcher pane. You can configure the Applications section of
DecisionSpace to launch classic and external software. The Configure Launcher dialog
(Select Launch > Configure Launcher) allows you to add, delete, and edit software and
software groups.
2. Specify a name for the group in the Application group text box.
3. Click OK.
7. Click the Open icon next to the Command line text box.
The installation location of the software is displayed in the Start in text box.
9. Click OK.
The software displays under the software group you selected in the launcher.

The Desktop is the default user interface. However, you may choose to start the
DecisionSpace software with the Session Manager as you did in the previous releases.
To launch Session Manager:
In the New Session tab, you can create a new session in a selected software. The
Available Modules panel lists all the software installed on your system with their
dependencies and other details.
In the Existing Sessions tab, you can browse to and select a path where previous
sessions are saved. The Available Sessions panel lists all the sessions in the path
specified. When a saved session is selected, the Session Parameters tab in the
Information for selected session panel displays the existing session parameter details.
Note: Sessions saved under previous releases of the DecisionSpace® software are
not guaranteed to open with all the data objects in the working dataset.
Sessions saved in the OpenWorks mode are only available in the OpenWorks mode.
Conversely, the same is true of sessions saved in the non-OpenWorks mode.
To display large icons in your session, select the Use Large Icons checkbox and click
OK.
A new session loads all the services, toolbars, and session information required for the
software you selected.
At this point, you can start loading the data required for the intended workflow. If you
selected an existing session, the session is restored to the same configuration with
which it was saved.
The DecisionSpace® software allows you to change its look and feel by executing
Launch.bat with the -load sessmgr -LAF_Name switch in the command line. If
you add the switch to the command line, the command would be similar to the
following:

Fixed Problems
The following problems have been fixed in Release 5000.0.1.
• Unable to select X and Y units in meters and Z unit in feet in the DecisionSpace®
software
Earlier, you could not select X and Y units in meters and Z unit in feet in DecisionSpace
software. Now, you can select the SPE Preferred Metric (Depth in feet) measurement
system in the Session Parameters dialog to set X and Y units in meters and Z unit in
feet.
Earlier, the Session Manager stopped responding when you tried to browse to network
disks. This has now been fixed. (Defect: 767495)
• From a Linux 64-bit system, rlogin to another Linux 64-bit system crashed the
remote display
If you were in a DecisionSpace software on a Linux 64-bit system and you tried to run
a DecisionSpace software from another Linux 64-bit system using the remote login,
the remote display used to crash. This has now been fixed. (Defect: 747769).
The SeisWorks object used to create multiple Oracle connections for one process.
This has now been fixed. (Defect: 765215)
• Projects with different coordinate systems did not display in the 3D Viewer at
the same time
DecisionSpace software did not allow you to display projects with different coordinate
systems at the same time in the 3D Viewer. This has now been fixed. (Defect: 771881)
• The colormaps created and saved under the default directory .lgcpalettes, of the
PowerView® software could not be viewed from other DecisionSpace software
• The blank option in the Install Set drop-down selected all the DecisionSpace
software
At the time of installation, the Choose Install Set screen displayed the list of software
you could install. When you pressed the up and down arrow keys to traverse through
the software in the Install Set drop-down and selected the blank option, all the software
used to be selected with a check mark against them. (Defect: 771131)
Known Problems
The following list describes behaviors and problems that the DecisionSpace® team has
identified as being bothersome to users. This list does not include all the known problems
of DecisionSpace® software. Refer to the Release Notes for each software for the known
problems specific to that software.
The Windows 64-bit DecisionSpace installer does not recognize Windows Vista 64-bit
as a supported operating system and therefore does not perform a complete
installation. We are working on the issues and plan to have this corrected in the next
release.
• DecisionSpace software does not allow re-attaching the second screen of a dual
monitor after launching the AssetView™ software
When working with dual monitors, if you detach your second monitor, then launch the
AssetView™ software and undock a tab, then try to reattach the second monitor,
DecisionSpace throws up an exception and displays the DecisionSpace Recovery
Dialog. (Defect: 782402)
• DecisionSpace software version 5000.0.1 does not allow spaces and special
characters during installation
You cannot enter spaces and special characters when specifying the installation path
while installing DecisionSpace software version 5000.0.1. (Defect: 759129)
When you launch any DecisionSpace software, the software is launched in the
DecisionSpace Desktop work area. However, DecisionSpace software 5000.0.1 does
not allow you to relaunch a software from the same Desktop. Once you have closed a
software, the only way to relaunch the software is to exit DecisionSpace and launch
the software. (Defect: 760623)
• Sessions from different projects that are in the same domain cannot be loaded
without closing the software
Prior to DecisionSpace 5000.0.0, you could load a session from Project A and a
session from Project B without exiting the software as long as both the sessions were
in the same domain. This functionality is no longer present in DecisionSpace 5000.0.0.
You now have to exit the software and relaunch Project A or Project B. (Defect:
732707)
DecisionSpace
At the time of installation, the Choose Install Set screen displays the list of software
you can install. By default, all the software are selected with a check mark against
them. When you click the software to select or deselect it, the software is highlighted
in blue. However, the check mark is not toggled. To select or deselect an software, you
have to double-click the software name. (Defect: 750914)

Refer to the individual software release notes for software-specific known problems. The
software shipped in this release include AssetView™, Collaborative Well Planning -
AssetView™, Collaborative Well Planning - GeoProbe®, PowerGrid™, PowerView®,
