 2022 A RETURN TO NORMALCY...
The 2022 academic year marked the return of activities after a lock-down ridden
2021. This was an eventful year which was kick-started by the inter-house field &
track competitions in 1st term. Felicitations go out to Eagle for winning the 1st term
inter-house field and track competitions and also all the other houses that took part
in the inter-house competitions.

Other activities that followed during the year included; Africa Day celebrations,
swimming gala, prize-giving day, breast cancer awareness and #HatsOnforCPC
amongst others. Our students also had some school excursions with the 1st term
school trip to Lion Park & Snake World and the 2nd term Pizza Making Masterclass
Excursion hosted by Pizza-Inn. The ECD – Grade 2 students showcased their talents
during the 2nd term annual school Concert, while the Grade 3- 7 students did the
same in 3rd term. 2022 also marked the return of the annual Allied Arts Festival in
which our students showcased their talents and excelled.

ZIMSEC CAMBRIDGE CHECKPOINT

The stunning performance of our students both on the ZIMSEC (Grade 7)
and Cambridge Checkpoint (Grade 6) front has been consistent over the
years even during lock-down. For Cambridge Checkpoint, our total average
score is always above the International Average scores which show how
students performed in comparison to the international cohort in a
particular exam series. International Average scores are calculated by
Cambridge using learner scores achieved by the whole cohort of entries in
an exam series. In 2021 the International Average score was 3.8 and Happy
Primary School had an average score of 4.3.

Our commitment to all stake-holders and parents is to continue to

improve the learning process and discover new ways to enhance teaching
in-order to open our pupil’s minds with our mantra #zero_excuses!
Evidence of this is our excellent pass rates, furthermore, both our Grade 6
& 7 students also excel in the CHISZ entrance exams. We believe that, the
positive attitude of both our faculty and pupils as well as their hard-work
and devotion will continue to be a key aspect of our success in the
academic arena.

 What’s Ahead…

ICC & WHAT’S AHEAD

After the completion of our ECD school of Excellence facilities,
focus is now on the completion of the new Irene Christian
College campus with sports facilities. This symbolises a
devotion to growth as well as a contribution to the cause of
education, one that will continue to be a hallmark of our brand.
We expect the project to be completed in 2023.

Future plans include the construction of an ECD – Grade 2

swimming pool, paving of Sawley Close, expansion and
improving the Happy Primary School premises as a whole.
