H. Making generalization and Often, we ask ourselves: “What are the skills that I am good at?”
abstractions about the lesson or “What skills that I will contribute to the community?” These
simple questions that we are confronted with every day, that we
are going to take in the future. Engaging in community
service provides students with the opportunity to become active
members of their community and has a lasting, positive impact on
society at large. Community service or volunteerism enables
students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a
service to those who need it most. Focusing on the skills needed
to attain one’s career goal and finding joy in it makes it easier for
one to do them. The combination of both skills and knowledge
can help align career goals with work that will truly be rewarding
and engaging.
