Post some pictures on the board and let the learners examine the pictures.
1. Have you seen or used any of them? When?
2. Where?
3. What do you call them?
4. When do you use them?

C. ACTIVITIES
Activity 15 – Arrange the techniques in applying a dressing.
 Place the dressing over the wound
 Unwrap the dressing as close to the wound as possible. Be sure not to touch the
wound.
 Wash hands and wear gloves, if possible.
 Use a dressing that is large enough to extend at least 1 inch beyond the edges of the
wound
 Secure the dressing with a bandage or adhesive tape.

D. ANALYSIS Did you arranged the procedures correctly?


Why should we use dressings and bandages on wounds?
Can we use any cloth as a dressing or bandage? Why and why not?

E. ABSTRACTION Read and understand the techniques in dressing and bandaging and different kinds of
wound and how to manage wounds on 242-245. After then, the learners will answer the
given activity.
