FloBoss 107 CPU Application Firmware [W68182] Version 1.61

ITEMS ADDRESSED Version 1.60 to 1.61 (04-December-2013)

 Enhanced communication between the FB107 and the IEC62591 module to detect and
record HART server restarts in the FB107’s alarm log. (SCR Fb1070000470)

COMPATIBILITY

 CPU Circuit Board Assembly (W48083) - Rev A/B/C/D/E/F

 Boot Firmware (W68181) - 1.00 or greater.
 This firmware version is compatible with all existing versions of FB107 assemblies, including
all I/O modules, MVS Interface module, RS232 and 485 communication modules, enhanced
communication module, dial-up modem module, application modules, IEC62591 module,
backplanes and LCD.
 Network Radio Module assembly (400190-01-0) – Rev C
 ROCLINK 800 (W68130) - Version 2.30 or greater.
 IEC62591 Module (W68280) – Version 1.01 or greater is required to access the new features
in this release.

OUTSTANDING ISSUES

 Comm 2 TX/RX LEDs may behave inconsistently.

 Downloading user programs over the RTU Network may fail.

FIRMWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

If upgrading from version 1.33 or earlier, please note the precautions and extra procedure
below:

 DO NOT upgrade to version 1.61 over an Ethernet connection.

 NOTE: This new version of firmware does not provide backwards compatibility with a
configuration saved to the FB107’s configuration memory in version 1.33 or earlier.
Upgrading to 1.60 will reset the FB107 back to factory defaults. To retain the unit
configuration through the upgrade process to 1.61:
1. Save the configuration of the unit to be upgraded to a *.800 file using the “File->Save
Configuration” menu option in ROCLINK 800.
2. Perform the upgrade to 1.61 (defined below).
3. Restore the saved configuration by using the “File->Download...” menu option in
ROCLINK 800.

Version 1.61 upgrade procedure:

1) Log onto ROCLINK 800.

2) Under "Utilities" pull down menu select "Update firmware".
3) Select CPU tab.
4) Be sure to select the check boxes “Save Device Configuration Before Firmware Update” and
“Restore Device Configuration After Firmware Update” if you have not already saved a
configuration.
5) Select the "Image file" that is to be loaded to the FB107. For this revision select
FB107_1_61.bin
6) Click on the "Start" button.

REVISION HISTORY

Version 1.50 to 1.60 (04-April-2013)

 Added Distributed RTU Network functionality

 Added selection for “Modbus Slave Only” on communication ports (SCR Fb1070000379)
 Enhanced Modbus master message processing to eliminate the potential of duplicate
responses (SCR Fb1070000400)

Version 1.40 to 1.50 (11-July-2012)

 Added IEC62591 (wireless HART) support.

 Resolved the clearing of DS800 resources on a Cold Start.
 Resolved the clearing of Soft Point descriptions on a Cold Start.
 Modified the Leap Year parameter (12, 0, 6) to set to 1 if the year is a leap year and 0 if the
year is not a leap year.
 Provided support for Daylight Savings Time. The starting and ending times are configurable
to support different world areas.
 Increased the maximum number of Extended History points from 25 to 50.
 Resolved the possibility of the FB107 becoming unresponsive when switching from the 29
MHz CPU speed to the 3 MHz CPU speed.
 Enhanced the heating value calculation to support ISO 6976 tables for 15 C and 20 C. The
FB107 automatically selects the appropriate tables based on the base temperature specified
for the meter run.
 Enhanced the handling of integrity errors occurring with some Application Modules resulting
in the proper clearing of integrity errors.
 Enhanced Modbus Master message validation.
 Added a floating point parameter (20, 0, 17) to provide a numerical representation of the
current firmware version.

Version 1.33 to 1.40 (20-October-2011)

 Enhanced the Pulse Input module’s ability to detect low-frequency pulses.

 Added support for User C Slot 7.
 Added support for Opcode 136 to provide a more efficient method to retrieve history records.
 Restricted the minimum Pulse Input scan period to 1 second to improve the stability of the
frequency and rate calculations.
 Added the ability to enable/disable event logging when modifying parameters in Soft Points
and Extended Soft Points.
 Enhanced Opcode 17 to allow immediate logout. In addition, a previous user is automatically
logged out when an invalid login is attempted.
 Increased the duration of the FST wait statement (WT) for periods of time longer than 20
minutes.
 Added support to restore User Text parameters for Standard History from configuration
memory.
 Prevented the possibility of excessive CPU loading during internal modem initialization.
 Added a user specific security timer to control how long the FB107 waits during periods of no
communication activity before automatically logging the user out.

Version 1.32 to 1.33 (28-February-2011)

 Enhanced the Pulse Input instantaneous rate calculation.
 Opcode 130 now allows the user to retrieve 60 days of daily history.
 To improve the consistency of communications when using fiber optic and radio modems, the
communication ports of the FB107 are no longer put into sleep mode unless the user has
enabled the CPU sleep mode option.
