TUBE WELL UNDER GROUND WATER TANK AND MACHINERY RUPEES

Loss of head in rising main 10x3.50 = 0.35Mt. Say = 0.50Mt.
Provide 100mm G.I rising main from tube well to under-ground water tank.

BHP MACHINERY FOR BOOSTING PUMP

Total daily requirement = 25000Lt.

Water supply requirement per hour 25000/1 = 25000
Requirement per second in cum 25000/60x60x1000 =0.006cum/sec

DESIGN OF SEWER SYSTEM

Design discharge @ 3 time = 3,00,000 Ltr.
Discharge reach in to the sewer = 75%
3,00,000x75/100 = 225000 Ltr.
Discharge in Ltr. Per second = 225000x1/12x1/60x1/60 = 5.20 LPS
Proposed main sewer 300 mm id UPVC sewer with full running 53.18 lt. per second, half running
26.58 LPS and design velocity 0.75 mt. per second against actual discharge 5.20 LPS.
CATCHMENT AREA FOR RAIN WATER OF FATEHGRAH SAHIB

Note
1. Normally intensity of rain fall is less than 7.60 mm per day ( 840 mm total in the year ) and
heavy rain fall very few in the season in a complete calendar year approximate 92% water
storage and percolates in the ground. In case of heavy rain falls, the storm water disposed to
storm water but in normal cases all the rain water percolates in the ground.
2. After every season layer of filter media should be removed and be made up with the fresh
coarse sand.
