Answer the Questions:

1. What is the equation of the reaction observed?

2H2O2 +MNO2 ->2H2O+O2

2. Which plant or animal organelle is involved?

Peroxisome is involved in this experiment.

3. Explain the effect of pulping the liver on the reaction.

While pulping the liver ,the surface area of the liver increases, so the rate of reaction of pulped
liver become higher.

4. Explain the effect of boiling the liver on the reaction.

When the liver boiled, the temperature increase , the ezymes will denature which change the
shape and active side , so the rate of reaction of boiled liver become lower.
5. Explain the differences between the reactions with fresh liver and with fresh potato cubes.

Fresh liver has a higher reaction than potato cube .The orange colour frame and the brightness of
white colour fume is higher in the reaction with fresh liver.

6. Explain the differences between the reactions with boiled liver and heated manganese dioxide.

The boiled liver has no frame but the heated manganese dioxide has blue colour, orange colour and bright frame
formed. Pop sound presented in both reaction while white fume only presented in the reaction with boiled liver
