Download the Essbase Software from oracle site. (edelivery.oracle.com)
Log on to the Oracle E-delivery (edelivery.oracle.com) site. Navigate to the Essbase Product page. Download and then open the self-extracting distribution file. Essbase server 9.3.1. - Essbase Server including sample applications. Essbase Administration server 9.3.1. EAS Console. Essbase client 9.3.1 Runtime Client , Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in for Excel, and Application Programming Interface (API). Run the installation programs for your platform.
Running Essbase Installation Programs
Server Installation Program At the welcome screen , follow the on-screen instructions: Select your country location .
Read the license agreement and select I AGREE.
For the Hyperion Home directory , accept the default location or specify a different path.
The default location for Hyperion_Home is : C:\Hyperion
For the installation (ARBORPATH) directory , accept the default location or specify a different path. For installation type , select Typical or Custom.
Select whether you want the installation program to update the PATH and ARBORPATH environment variables .
Select a value for ESSLANG language environment variable.
Review the pre-installation summary information.
When the installation program finishes installing files , review the post-installation summary information.
Essbase Administration Server Installation Program At the Welcome screen , follow the on-screen instructions : Select your country location .
Read the license agreement and select I AGREE.
